Protest on Saturday
posted on 1/3/12
Initially the protests were understandable. It has always been this way when teams struggle. But no-one listened. Nothing happened. Absolutely no point in protesting at this stage of the season. Nothing will change. We will either scrape survival or be relegated.
It remains a total embarrassment, but protesting will achieve nothing now.

Agree with ojw. Don’t see what good can possibly come from a protest with only 12 games left and us only in the bottom 3 on goal difference. If or when we avoid relegation and if Venkys are still in charge, next summer is the time to plan mass protests not now. Just makes the club look (even more) embarrassing.

Nope will be showing up at 2.55, buying a pie, finding somewhere to sit/stand, cheering on the lads for 90+ minutes, going home after full time.
Eating my pie somewhere within that

"buying a pie"
No freebies this week then.....
Pies give me indigestion.

Don't see the point of protesting, specially not during the game. Counter-productive for the players.

Even Mourinho can't stop you from going down!

In light of what has transpired from meetings with the BRST, it seems quite clear that Wild and Mullan want to see the club relegated in order to make a buy out of Venky's at a cut price deal.
The protests don't work, they players have appealed to fans to not do them and as I've suspected all along there is a alternative motive behind them.
Sickening.

Well he is the manager of a completely different team in a completely different league in a completely different country. So I doubt he is making much of an effort to prevent it.
Bit like saying even Gus Hiddink can't help Arsenal finish fourth, Claudio Ranieri is powerless to prevent West Ham getting promoted or Pep Guardiola can't help Spurs beat Stevenage.

Mourinho is a witch.. he can influence any team anywhere in the world with his crystal ball and magic coat except Blackburn Rovers...

Speculation I believe given that the intention to form the supporters trust buyout was put in place after the protests started.
Much like the speculation that Steve Kean is part of the Anderson inspired takeover that lead to him stabbing Allardyce in the back to get the job despite being clearly inferior. That the Venkys are puppets etc etc. That VenKean is getting rid of players to reduce the wage bill.
Is this the old provocative mcT back? Speculation cuts both ways and I hope you're being provocative rather than belieivng this.
What is true is that Venkys stupidly sacked a good manager on the back of a 7-1 away defeat to one of the best teams in the country and then failed to do the same, instead putting their trust in his bag carrier's bag carrier!!
