Need For Speed:The Run

Anyone else enjoying this game? I’m well hooked. Didn’t get great reviews but is the most I’ve enjoyed a racing game since NFSU2 back on the PS2. A summary: The campaign is a new idea for a NFS game. 250 cars(something like that I don’t know) racing across America. Each race you’ll have to overtake maybe 6 or so to pass the stage. Every now and then a stage will be to make up some time(checkpoints, like OutRun) or going head to head against a rival. Also Police will make an appearance now and then to crash you off the road. There’s no laps on the races, it’s just a straight out burn to the end through some beautifully created levels. The graphics on this game are superb, just about every terrain is covered form off- road to crazy jumps in San Francisco to snowy mountains steering through an avalanche to long dusty roads in the desert to countryside etc. Each level looks really impressive.
The online is good fun, they have taken the MW2 style in which you level up and unlock now cars, unlock profile pictures and backgrounds and certain tasks such as: not getting passed by a single opponent in a race, finishing 1st 5 seconds ahead of anyone else, accumulating 30 seconds of airtime and so on.
Definitely my fav game for car handling, the way the wheels grip the surface when skidding round a corner at insane speeds is grawsome(I make up words), I do prefer slight arcade style handling as opposed to sim.
The one player is short but you’ll wanna play through it again and beat your overall time, there’s also the challenge series when you can play each track on its own and earn silver, gold medals etc.
Anyone thinking of getting I recommend it, and if I recommend it then you know it’s well recommended
