Is Steven Gerrard deluded..?

I would just like to say that I believe Gerrard isnt deluded. You look like you have some very promising young players coming through, have made a couple of good signings. Kenny has made a massive impact and next season for Liverpool is certainly looking up.

A comment to the origial poster - I can see city having a strong season and being in the top few along with Liverpool <wink>

Can't see what all the fuss is about on this thread. The op reads an article on the daily star, feels compelled to give us a roasting on a topic that isn't actually of much importance.

A few give him a ribbing for reading a red top rag which is understandable on a forum dedicated to serious discussion.

Big guns trudy wades in and declares this story is on the LFC site. Shock horror as that is where most if not all the LFC exclusives come from.

Butter boy realises his school boy error and tries to cover it up as a classic WUM.

Trudy, as much as I appreciate your character assassination of me, I'll have to try and correct a few points.

a) I don't read the Daily Star and make it a rule never to look at it's luvverly boobie filled pages but I'm fairly sure the tone of the Gerrard quote would have been in a much different context to the way the interview was portrayed on the Liverpool website.

It's not really much of a story is it, club captain foresees trophies in club's future. Twist it like only a rag can do and it suddenly becomes "Deluded Captain Issues Title Promise"

b) The article was written by a non-Liverpool fan and was decidedly boring and pointless, hence my snoozing.

c) If the OP thinks that 5th place is the best we can hope for then I would question their deludedness, as I did.

So overall I fully stand by my initial comment, and I will be expecting a full apology regarding your arrogant comments. Or are you too much of a hypocrite?
