For all you Meggy lovers, get real. Without MM we were finished, you forgot that 1?? Megson football was set-pieces and hoof ball. Once the opposing teams figured that out, where was Plan B? I will tell you, NO WHERE!! MM had to make a decision and to remove Megson was the right decision. Is Jones the right person? Dunno, time will tell. All these so called fans asking for MM to "clear-off" are idiots. Simple!!
Megson was a huge owls fan, GREAT, SO AM I. BUT, where does that matter in the real world on managing our great club? Passionate does not make you a manager. I wish Megson all the best in the future, but he took us as far as he could. Watching his footie was not good to the eye. Giving up last minute goals, not enough scoring, poor goals against all add up. So support MM and Dave Jones and FFS get over it.

Well said Lost in Space. Thank you Gary for being a Wednesdyite but the sleeping giant needs to awaken - and under Gary we would still be snoring. As Lost in Space says - it might not be Dave but it certainly wouldn't be Gary.
We shouldn't settle for mediocrity - we have to play good football, attract good gates and then attract good players to take us up. If it hadn't been for MM we would probably be in League Two and then non-league. He's not in it because he loves Wednesday, he's a business man and wants a return on his investment.

I think MM realises that automatic promotion is unattainable now so the new objective is to win that little tournament at the end of the season. With this in mind, he's reviewed his options and decided that GM isn't the right man for the job. As Wensdi says, it's a business decision.

A slight over reaction there.
I don't really think that anyone is calling for Mandaric to be hung, drawn and quartered now are they?
The timing of the decision is arguably the biggest thing that has irked the supporters.
I am well aware that without Mandaric we wouldn't have a club to follow and for that I cannot thank him enough. But does that absolve him of the right to be criticised? No it doesn't.
I happen to think he's made a mistake, however the new bloke is here now so I will get behind him 100%.
Megson's brand of football, whilst not exactly silky stuff, cannot have been that bad or else we wouldn't have been in around the top 3 all season.
He got things wrong and was rightly criticised, but the chairman should be treated no differently.
Up the owls!!!!
