Song is an underrated footballer but an overrated defensive midfielder.

Song is having a shocker but so is the whole midfield . Rosicky and Benny are completely anonymous and Arteta is just awful. Theo is trying his best and seems to have got some confidence from last week.

what verminator said. he's too tactically naïve to be a defensive midfielder, but he has reasonable technical skill.
i remember lex saying that we started playing 4-3-3 to incorporate fabregas, but we now play it just to protect song.
