1st home defeat of the season, and id like to see the stats!! Arsenal were the 2nd best team by far had 3 chances and scored 2 goals; Liverpool created numerous, the kelly miss, the kuyt post, the suarez dribble the missed pen and more....
Its not we have played badly for most of the season, yeah a few games but no more than Utd or City. So whats the difference? Well i will tell you what the difference is....a RVP,an Aguero a Rooney. Suarez is clearly a creator not a goal scrorer.
Looks like the season is going like this, create chances miss chances and as for penalties, its incredible to miss 50% of them...absolutely terrible. Carroll may come good, but not for this season and Bellamy cant play to many games in a week. All in all, looks like a 5th or 6th finish but nobody can tell me that we havnt improved.
We had a shot at 3rd but failed to beat spurs, we then had a big opportunity to close in on 4th, what did we do; lose to arsenal at home. So, i am afraid its take it on the chin and the new boys will have to learn the hard way.
if it was me, id just go out and buy a world class striker for whatever it costs.
Disappointed yes, a disaster no....but it could have been so much better.
how do you solve Liverpools problems?

Yea Huntelaar and Afellay will relish the chance of playing for a once great team who get nowhere near champs league for very little money! You're following Pompey and Leeds' model of spending big for a trophy! Instead of building a team and encouraging youth.
PS. Arsenal scored 3 goals and aside from the OG and penalty you hit the target twice! Not exactly domination!

FUnny you guys want cavani. Thats about as realistic as us signing messi. Seriously. hahahah. But the funny thing is that most scouse fans would probably not rate cavani. I promise you they all dont realise that if he joined he would be 2x better than anyone else in their average line up

if we had scored just our penalties this season. we would be 3 points behind arsenal with a game in hand not 10. we aren't a million miles off fourth place. 1 striker to put the ball in the back of the net and we're in business. you can't say that we don't create chances.

how do you solve Liverpools problems?
Get a new manager, preferably someone that knows the club inside out.
Buy 2 strikers, 1 with international experience and one for the future, preferably the 'next big thing'
maybe a couple of quality Midfielders, preferably ones that have played in the Prem before and know what it's about.
Might have to spend about 100 mil...
hmmm... oh you did that already....

Suarez came to us with a decent scoring record, yet everyone is judging him already before the season is out.
Anyone remember when rooney had a long barren spell? All the BS chatted about him then? Suarez will find decent form, although you could really argue that apart from the miss opportunities he's got spark and flair that would be welcome in *any* team.
