Any truth to it?

...."Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal will table a buyout bid for QPR on Monday that could spark a multi-million pound war with Manchester City for the Premier League title." .........

I reckon this would be great, being the others, (one doesn't care about the team and the other is a ratbag) .... least this guy seems keen.

What's the general feedback from fellow Rrrrrrr fans

Morning

Why do all fans simply ignore these new financial rules that will start to take effect next season ......It wont matter how much cash you have got , well if you want to compete in Europe that is if you're happy to just play domestic football then you can spend big

Anybody who thinks there are loopholes in these new regs are fooling themselves

Ecclestone has also dismissed suggestions of a potential takeover of the club by another shareholder, Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal.

Ecclestone added: "Mittal put a statement out to say he was going to buy all the shares on Monday.

"But it's a bit like these Murdoch people saying they're going to buy CVC (F1's commercial rights holders). They have forgotten to ask if it's for sale."

dreamland - I don't think Mittal is that kind of character even if he did get control of the club, although I would much prefer him to Bernie and Flavio

good news that Mittal is looking to increase his stake, but I wouldn't read too much in to speculative rubbish being put out by The Sun - we all know how reliable their reporting is!!

Seems it's all the usual Sun bluff and bluster. With Murdoch removed from Bernie's xmas card list, I think the Sun will try to cause trouble by printing many an unsubstantiated story!!
Nice if Lakshi is interested in upping his stake, but don't think it will be happening any time soon

Whatever happens, we don't want bad blood in the board room. It'll distract everyone from the main business which is surviving in the Prem. And we don't want the Indians to go off in a huff because on a day to day basis, they've been a class act for the club. In his recent blog, David M seems to think there's no problem between the various egos in the board. Hope he's right.

This is my first post on ja. Seems a good site.

I would love to see it happen.
But if it doesn't happen before any major transfer activity I can't see it happening this year.

We just need to keep cheering his name and we should be good.
