Gunner in peace,
I just want know liverpool fans views on Kenny Dalglish do you think he's still the right man to lead you forward?
Yes he won a cup which is progress but his points tally is similar to Roy Hodgson & some of his transfers have been dodgy.
Me personally I think what he does this summer in the market will go long way in saying how he'll do next season
Good luck this season
Dalglish

"Any stats to prove his points tally is similar to Woy?"
Well, the Premier League table for a start; WBA on 35pts; LFC on 39pts + game in hand. So 4, 5, or 7 pts difference when on level games.
Time at Liverpool?
FROM Wiki:
HODGSON:
Played = 31
Won = 13
Drew = 9
Lost = 9
Win % = 41.94
DALGLISH
Played = 59
Won = 29
Drew = 16
Lost = 14
Win % = 49.15
So; 100 x (1 - (41.94%/49.15%)) = 15%. Kennys win rate is +15% difference than Hodgsons.
15% of 38 games = 5.7 more games a season Kenny wins than Hodgson.
5.7 wins x 3pts = 17.1pts more for Kenny than Hadgosn.
Roy was at the helm for 21 matches last season; 100x(21/38) = 55.26%
55.26% of 17pts = 9.45pts. We would have attained 9.45pts more in the 2010-2011 season had Kenny been there from the start, making our total point haul 67.45pts - 0.55pts of 4th; displacing Spurs in 5th.
All theoretical, but Wayne asked!

I think the word 'patience' is one that's needed. We're undergoing a radical squad overhaul so it will take time for the dust to settle. I do believe Kenny can take us further and you're right in saying this summer is as important as the last.
I think certain players need the door, and they are Maxi (decent squad player but his high wages and age doesn't justify him being there), Joe Cole (yep, he's still on the books and see the last comment for why he should go), Kuyt (as much as it pains me to say he should go,it's time we moved on and he simply isn't getting any better) and Downing (the only true flop Kenny has signed in my opinion. Henderson and Carroll will evolve and get better, and Adam needs to start being a team player to justify his cause).
I think we're defensively sound, and when Lucas returns, we should be even better. I think we really need an injection of pace this summer and I would like to see five new players come in. My suggestions are:
Yohan Cabaye - He would add some real steel to the midfield and, as much as I like Spearing, we need a little more quality to cover Lucas, or even play alongside him ahead of Adam or Henderson.
Scott Sinclair - I rate him and he has much needed pace. He's young, gifted and should adapt well at Anfield. With Maxi and Downing hopefully on the way out, he would be a refreshing change on our flanks.
Adam Johnson - The least likely purchase IMO, but he is also quality, young and pacey. I'd love to see him at Anfield and he would be bound to get more game time than he has been getting at City which could tempt him.
Daniel Sturridge - He would be our show piece signing and if Chelsea drop out of the top 4 (increasingly likely now), then a fresh start with us could also tempt him. Again, he has pace and is something different to the Carroll/Suarez combination so I think he's well worth a look.
Demba Ba/Grant Holt - Ba would be my first choice but Holt seems like a good alternative. As mentioned by someone else, we've been hitting the woodwork way too many times this season and need a couple of more finishers which both these guys are. Ba will be hot property and if we had the likes of him, Suarez, Carroll and Sturridge leading our line (not to mention Bellamy, but it's fair to say he was only really brought in as cover this season), then we will have a very diverse and high quality forward line.
Robbie Savage said in his latest 'Savage Says' that we need 6 players, and all of them I think are in the attacking third of the pitch. Defensively we have the platform to build on. All we need now are players who can open up defences and put the ball in the back of the net. If we get the players who I've mentioned, or of a similar quality, then I believe we will then have true cause to be optimistic next season. It won't be our year, next year, but we can start setting the Premier League alight with some flair, pace and youth. I think that's what Comolli and Kenny are trying to do, so I think it will work.

Yes of course
All you have to do is look at yesterday's game to see that you were outclassed by LFC.
Quite clearly our football has improved beyond recognition.

If we are talking about signings we only need one, RVP.
With the plethora of chances we have created this season and him on the end of them we would be at the top of the prem now.......

Any football fan out there who doesn't think we have improved from Hodgson to Dalglish, just watch our games.
If you can't see the improvement, you are blind and need to get yourself some audio description.
Mind you, the audio describer might well have fallen asleep when Roy was manager.

am afraid we do not have the quality, I felt sick and also its the same old story with us, we just cannot score. I reckon robbie fowler would do a great job.......I fi_ickin mean it!
This simply just aint good enough, Arsenal were there for the taking and they took 3 points, they don't deserve but they still did.

I like the way we play under Kenny
One touch passing, attacking football.
For some reason we decide to miss all the sitters, hit the woodwork, and miss our penalties after playing sides off the park. Frustrating.

I personally think Dalglish is very very good for Liverpool
Just keep the transfer funds away from him
Hez signings have generally been poor but he has done good stuff with the team..
If he gets it right in the transfer market he can be good for them..
He looks like a manager that can win the League BUT.. If he gets it right in the transfer market

good post Marked Man,
sad to see him go but i think we need to move on from Kuyt, and Maxi and Cole are just a waste of wages.
