... before the end of the season. will all the points gained from matches against portsmouth be wiped off?? if so we could benefit as i think ipswich gained 6 points from pompey this year so they would drop down to 37 points when we are on 32. millwall beat them so they would loose three points. putting them on 31. of course we lost 3-0 against them so we wouldn't loose out.
also if they go bust i assume 3 will still go down so, if we reckon that could happen, we would only be 1 point outside the relegation zone currently not 4.
just something to bare in mind.
if pompey go out of business ...

No if they go bust, only 2 teams get relegated

Yes, their record will be deleted.
Showed the table without Portsmouth on SSN the other day, WHU fell to third behind Saints and Cardiff. Didn't really see how else it effects the league, sorry.

Here's the table, not including the results yesterday which were mainly positive for us.
What would happen to pompey if they went completely bust? Would they cease to exist or are there other options?

Monkey, they will cease to exist and the ground will almost certainly be turned into a supermarket.
But it is likely they will rise again from the very bottom.

Oh yeah, it was Reading who went up to second not Cardiff...

Its isn't something you would wish upon a team, but i guess if your loyalties lie elsewhere and it could mean the difference between promotion or relegation then opinions change.
How like is it they wont finish the season?

Very, from what i understand.

so if only two teams go down, then surely league 1 will be a team short?

Relegation will be effected all the way down the leagues, probably to the Conference.

I don't think it'll happen. The last owner has started paying some wages and people will take fractions of what they're owed. I feel bad for the fans but the club is making our back office look almost professional!
