........why are footballers such a bunch of spineless play-acting girls?
I've just seen Tiotto collapse on the floor in such agony holding his crystalline jaw in The Toon/mackem derby. It's beyond pathetic, and makes me sick to my stomach. The international influence on our game. Wonderful.
I don't know where they got him from, but he's clearly left his family jewels there. Big girls blouse. The game has become a pantomime.
Apropos of absolutely nothing.....

He perhaps used to watch Robbie Savage

Tell you what 666, how long would Dave Mackay last on a football field these days? one tackle from him, and some foreign fairy would re-enact the battle of the somme, the death scene from swan lake and the screenplay from The Killing fields before they hit the deck!

Why are the administrators of the game so spineless that they cannot make an example of Tiote by banning him for half a dozen games? The footage is absolutely conclusive that the tiny bit of contact which occurred was nowhere near the face which he was so convincingly clutching in agony. Until retrospective punishment is enforced there is every incentive to cheat, as in this case, because an advantage is gained. If Tiote hadn't collapsed there is no way that the Sunderland player would have been sent off.
Pardew did himself no favours by going on about Cattermole's aggression and not mentioning the sending off. The TV interviewer should have shown the incident to him and ask him to comment on his player's reaction. Either he would defend him, and lose all credibility, or do the proper thing and say he would be disciplining the player accordingly. Somehow we need to get it into the culture of the game that this sort of nonsense is absolutely not to be tolerated.

Not wanting to seem contrary for the sake of it, I'm sure there WAS contact between Sessegnon's arm and Tiote's face.. there was a comdey slo-mo on MoTD2 which showed his face doing a wobbly-thing after the contact.
Nowhere enough force to warrant the rolling around writhing agony death dance that followed, but definite contact.

Well, I thought it was the upper chest he lightly brushed rather than his face, but hey ho.
To me, it's just being contrary for the sake of it.
