Just had a quick panic attack when I read a rumour that Anderson was intended as a replacement for Scholes and this may well be correct. He may step up to replace Scholes as Nani did to replace Ronaldo and although Anderson really did begin to shine last season he wont be the differenc eif we meet Barca agian in the CL
Thoughts??

No, but I guess you've missed the rest of his Man U career

Not in the slightest.
I have followed it with great intrest. And I have one big advantage over you.

TBF Anderson hasn't had a proper run in his preferred position due to injuries, Paul Scholes and more recently Ryan Giggs
Next season will be different. Anderson will step up now in my opinion as to be fair to him, when he has been fit, he has looked a good player

Anderson can do the job if given the opportunity. But first, Fergie should give up that damned rotation for some time, at least.

I still have the feeling that he is going to come good for us. His United career so far has been plagued by injuries and hampered by the fact that he has been asked to play defensively. It now appears that SAF has agreed/decided to play him in a more attacking role and Anderson has responded with some decent form. Hopefully that will improve next season as he gets more playing time and reaches full fitness - which I dont think he has had for 2+ years.
What I really hope to see after the summer is a trimmed down Anderson that has shed some of the excess weight. He is our only current CM who has the pace and ability to drive the ball forwards.

This and the injuries are, IMO, what has slowed Anderson's developement.
We have all (those of us with open eyes, anyway) seen what he can become when he has had a good run of games.
No one, can ever replace Scholes though. Just like Nani will never replace Ronaldo.

You can't replace players. Understand this. We did not replace Becks did we? We got Ronaldo, a different type of player. We never replaced Keane did we? You can't replace players. You get new ones and you change your style.

Now I know this says more about the state of our CM than anything else but I though Anderson has easily been the most eye catching when he has featured.
I mean the speed, ability to dribble past players and his almost constant forward thinking (rather than the back and sideways gala most of the rest serve up) is why I think some of our best performances this season has come with Ando in the side.
He is beginning to add goals to his game. I find it unfair when people critisise his goals tally. He used to go entire games without taking a shot. He has played an interesting position this season. The Rooney/Sneijder role, pushed up just off the striker and that has meant he has been able to get into excellent positions to take shots and score goals.
Good luck to him for next season. He really needs an injury free season. Has been extremely unlucky on that front.

One of a kind...like Jimmy Durante or Mickey Rooney...you can try to imitate, but can never be...legends gone for ever...Anderson is good but merely a journeyman midfielder as (as yet).

I would not call Anderson a journeyman midfielder. I don't think you understand what that term means.

Nani didn't replace Ronaldo. Ronaldo was a phenomenon, he could turn draws into wins and defeats into wins as well. What does Nani do? He's getting forced out of the team by Valencia.
