To achieve our much MUCH needed Top Four finish we need two things to happen.
Part One: We exit the Champions Leagues on Tuesday. Inevitable I think and a blessing in disguise.
Part Two: Our noisy neighbours just up the Seven Sisters Road do really, really well in the FA Cup.
Pour quoi?
With the FA Cup as a realistic option for Spurzzz they'll be suitably distracted from the EPL.
Our run-in up to the end of April reads:
Home:
Newcastle.
Aston Villa.
Man City.
Wigan.
Chelsea.
Away::
Everton.
QPR.
Wolves..
Stoke.
Whereas our erstwhile chums face...
Home:
Stoke
Swansea.
Norwich.
Blackburn.
Away:
Everton.
Chelsea
Sunderland..
Bolton.
QPR.
With our ever growing injuury list (what is the matter with our medical team?) and a quick painless exit from the CL we can overtake the Boys Up The Road and finish third. Provided they get big, time-consuming FA Cup distraction.
I'm right aren't I?.
.
I have a cunning plan....

Are we about to see a return for the oft requested 4-4-2 formation?
A Chamakh/Park front two
---------------------
I'd go for that Lex. As long as M. Wenger doesn't risk RvP in a mainly "pointless" match I'll be happy. Save him for the PL.

Though he'll obviously say differently to the media, I just wonder if Arsene knows overturning a 4:0 deficit is beyond us.
If he's contemplating a 4-4-2 formation, I wouldn't be surprised to see Chamakh and Park get a run out.
In fact, even a Chamberlain/Chamakh partnership might be a possibility.
The reserves play Chelsea reserves this afternoon. That might be an indicator as to how Wenger is viewing the Milan match.
If Ozyakup doesn't feature this afternoon..?

Milan match is a tough one to go about prepering for, we all know its 98% over - but whilst there is a chance we should go for it
on the other hand, why risk injuries to players when it seems a fruitless task.
I'd like to see Park and Chamakh start and tell them they are out on their ear unless they get 3 each

I dunno guys. Call me a delusional muppet, but get 2 goals early, and Milan will be having flashbacks to the Deportivo match.
12 goals in our last 2 home matches. That's 6 goals per match.

AC Milan match should be considered over, we never ever come back from 4 down.. no need to hurt the main palyers, honestly. Anyone forgetting already our left back.. a certain mister Santos?

Good point Serial but...............we might get two early on but we are - sure as eggs is eggs - bound to concede. And with the away goal(s) Milan are thru. Done and dusted.
I just hope Wenger doesn't risk too many first team players in this all-ready-decided match.
