OMG! do you REALLY think the club actually WANTED him...around season ticket renewal time the club link us with a player that is way beyond our reach and then give it the 'tried and failed' routine...

No i didn't personally think he would ever leave Barca for us especially when Man.Utd, Arsenal and Man.City were the clubs being mentioned with him, I was simply wondering why and how these rumours get going but saying that i never heard anything from the club about this move it was mainly gossip on here mmmmmm is there a season ticket salesperson in our midst????

This may actually be a stronger indication that he is coming to us. Stay with me. Out of all the clubs interested in him, we were the only one whop wanted him on a loan-ish thing. It's quite possible that the new contract is not only a polite 'eff off to the other clubs interested but also a signal that he is available for loan. For example, remember when we shipped out Wardy on loan Coyle wouldn't okay the deal until he signed a new contract. Perhaps Barca' are laying the foundations to send him ou. He's almost certainly not going to get 1st team football next year, he's said he wants to play every game, he's friends with Rodrigo and no doubt Barca' have heard about Owen Coyle's wonderkid finishing school.

It's not a crazy as it sound. It might not be the long term 2 year deal we were reported to be after but I'd still take a season of him.

I've no idea who will be in our squad come September 1st!! The next 10 days will determine alot.. Hope we are ready for the transfer merry-go-round!
