Just cant help himself can he??? Had to revert to type and snatch defeat from the jaws of what should have been a simple victory!!! Had to meddle with a wnning formula and cram the team with defenders in a home game against the worst team in the championship???
Why, why, why, why, why play Gunter again in midfield and drop Reid??? In Cotteriland he just had to squeeze the extra defenders in and play Wooton and Chambers instead of having the gumption to drop one and go 4-4-2 as he did against Birmingham with Gunter in his rightful place at right back!! He will never learn, he simply is a rubbish manager, tactically clueless, and shouldnt be anywhere near a championship dugout!! Guys a joke!!!
If we manage to stay up (with a squad any half decent manager would have pushing for a top half place without breaking a sweat) I just hope and pray the club gets a new owner as they will surely sack this imbecile. Sling your hook Cotterill you clueless waste of space.... and take Bagpuss Clark and Arthur with you!!!
A truely shocking defeat tonight, totally messed everything up as only a defensively obsessed numpty like him could!! Joke of a manager
Calamity Cotterill!!

Cotterill deciding to change a form team around to fit in 5 defenders at home against Donny is just craziness IMO.
If he wants to pair Chambers and Lynch together, then fair enough, but that means wooton has to be on the bench, because it's just plain stupidity to move our best RB into a position he's not so comfortable in,to accommodate a worse RB and in turn drop one of our current form player from MF.
There are other MF's on the bench that could play,(if Reid needed as rest, which I doubt)which would of mean t that we could keep our best RB in his rightful position.
His tactics today just dismantled a midfield that is on form, there is no way playing Gunter out of position and dropping a form player in reid can in anyway be seen as a smart managerial decision, especially when this was a 6 pt game against the bottom side in the league at home, and a win would of put us 9 points clear of them and would of basically put a big nail in one of our relegation rivals coffin.
I haven't been on the anti cotterill bandwagon and have been hoping he could turn things around, which lately he seemed to be doing, but i just don't see how he can be defended after todays decision to split up a form team,to accommodate 5 defenders in a game at home to the bottom of the league.

SOD isn't the problem. We have a clot that we can't get rid of and we can't afford the surgery to get it fixed.

This is another thing that annoys me. Why has it got to be a bandwagon? Why this idea that people that wanted Cotterill sacked where idiots whipped into a frenzy, people that can't think for themselves are make reasonal rational decisions. It's a perfectly valid point of view that he should be sacked and you can make strong arguments to back it up.
That's not a dig at you Payne. Just making a wider point on what it's been like as forest fan the last few months.

The performance was one of the worst I've seen this season...there have been a few contenders too.
I cannot see how Moussi continues to get a chance of pulling a Forest shirt on. The guy is terrible..he can't pass, runs as though he's in one of those Baywatch slo-mo sequences and has no urgency or awareness.
And before anyone points out that he's good at winning the ball and making tackles, yes he certainly is....good at winning back the ball he's given away in the first place.
btw, anyone have any ideas as to what SC was aluding to when he mentioned Findley having issues?
Cotterill out......nooooooooooooooooow!

Ray put your dummy back in, it doesn't suit spitting your dummy out. If the boot was on the other foot there would be plenty of red dogs on the derby board

Last night was a joke.
To give the ball away, the way we did for their first, and the defending (or non-defending) for the second, is inexcusable.
Moussi was shocking, again, and gave the ball away far far too many times.
To blame Cotterill entirely though is not right. I personally don't think that playing Gunter in midfield is a good choice, he clearly is more effective from right back - but we can't put our strongest team out saturday - tuesday - saturday - tuesday, it will lead to injuries, fatigue and undoubtedly criticism of the manager for making the choice in the first place.
Lets hope Saturday is an improvement .. it couldn't get much worse.
