Half time came too soon for us. Another 5mins and we'd have scored before half time.
Half time killed our momentum. They could re-group.
Milan stepped it up in the second half.
We tired due to our first half effort.
We didn't have a bench strong enough due to injuries etc.
Maybe missed arshavin as an impact sub.
Damage was done in the first game in Milan.

After half time AC milan were excellent at closing down and stoping us. Their defending before half time pretty much gifted us the 3 goals, but they were magnificent in the second half for the most part.
The other thing that cost us was our bench. After 60 minutes we needed someone to come on and freshen us up going forward, but the options were not there.
Dare I say we missed Nicky Bendtner? Probably not after his miss v Barca, but...
We did well, but we cannot forget how awful we were in Milan, and that the 4-0 score at the start of the match obviously had a big effect on each teams mentality.

like darwin on another post, i'm going to stick my neck out and say that i wouldn't have been averse to seeing arshavin come off the bench. he surely had a chance to provide that little bit of magic that so often decides champions league matches.

Lets not forget, with Arshavin, that we had to start 4 of the players in front of him in the queue for a place, and the 5th was ill.
Maybe without the CM injury issues we could have had more inspirational players on the bench. But then we may have not been in a position to win the tie if others had started...

All very fair comments by everyone here.. At least the winning streak continues hey chaps!? The adrenaline running through me during that game makes it all worth. We must get 4th or 3rd for more nights like these.. But no more nights like in Milan. We've seen the best and worst of our team in this round. But pride restored!!
