What was Holloway wittering about?

I was listening to Talk Sport this morning while driving in to work and Ian Holloway was whingeing about having to look up what a foul is - something about being able to jump and put your hands on your opponent's shoulders.

I must admit that I seldom have a clue what the blithering buffoon is on about at the best of times, but this one had me totally flummoxed.

Can anyone shed any light upon the incident to which he was referring? He seemed more wound up than a clockwork pasty. I can't really think of anything that was particularly contentious last night apart from the FA's new rule where they now encourage the employment of blind linesmen.

He'll be defending his team's loss.

Strange concept that we haven't experienced much of late, but rather than publicly criticise every player's every mistake, he finds something to give he press and does his managing in the dressing room.

What a man.

Whilst I'm not cloughs biggest fan and a lot of the times find his after match analysis a bit frustrating I wouldnt want him to blather like an idiot about irelevent "so called fouls" like Holloway does

I didnt go last night but from what I can gather the best team on the night won and sometimes you just have to admit that

Bednar didn't jump for the ball all night and tried to draw fouls by slightly backing into Barker or Shackell to make it look as though they were coming over the top of him. The ref did well not to fall for it but Bednar was whingeing continually. There were a couple of times on the touchline when Roberts had his arms around Bednar that might have been given, but that was it. Generally, it was mainly that Bednar wasn't competing strongly enough and Holloway should have been more concerned about that.

That noise you hear is Dave, struggling to breathe.

Did anyone see him 'return the ball in a hurry-up fashion' by ramming it into Tyson's (I think it was him) midriff as we were killing the game in the end?

I think he realised immediately that he had 'been a bit naughty' because suddenly the ball got passed to Roberts who sort-of accidentally dropped it, and it kind-of rolled into Derby's dugout and got 'lost' for a few moments - and Holloway just walked away, realising that he'd possibly dodged a bullet.

I think the incident he is referring to was towards the end of the game, right on the edge of our penalty area. I think it was Shack who climbed all over their forward and the ref did nothing. I commented to my mate at the time that we 'got away with that one'. The forward made no attempt to jump for the ball though. Some refs give them, some don't. A similar incident happened moments before at the other end and Steve D was penalised for backing in. Harsh I thought.

I saw Holloway throw the ball at Tyson, He should of been warned for it but it backfired anyway.

Sounds like the comments of a man who fell in a barrel full of 3pts and came away with a 2-1 defeat.
