A lot of talk on here about how it looks like NW is getting the defending sorted out.........Good because that is what the basis of all good teams is...ok attacking flair and goal scoring is great but that can only be acheived once you earn the right to play with the ball.
The attacking in the team will feel under much less pressure when applying either a killer ball or a shot at goal, rather than thinking that we need to score everytime we attack because our defence will concede at least 2 goals.. hence the number of snatched chances on Saturday night
I am by no means this guys biggest fan.. But when George Graham left us he had built a team that really was not pleasing on the eye but did not concede many... This gave us the platform to bring in the kids with flair and no fear for the mini period of success we had and the best Leeds team since the early 70's.
Just saying

Just because we kept a clean sheet, doesnt mean the defence is getting sorted.
Hull cut us open at will at times in the first half.
Its abit like saying southampton defended well on saturday, no it was poor finishing

Never says is was sorted i said it was getting sorted ,as in work in progress. You must admit that 1 goal conceded in 3 games is down to more that just bad finishing

Dont get me wrong, it looks better but we aint scored in that time, and got only 2 points.
Ive said it before points are what matters, how you get them is irrelvent

completley missed everything about the game last night.. LIW, did you listen to it? - how did we play?
without knowing the details of the game, the result wasn't that bad considering Hull are above us, and we were away, also seems to point out that the defence is becoming more arganised???? - just taking that from the result alone though.
LIW, you will know, what happened?

Its a great point tuscany, at a very hard place but a point is no good to us at the moment.
Lonergan played well, and last 20 minutes of first half, they could have score 4 or five.
2nd half we came into it and probably just shaded it

Well know how good our defence is after Mboro and West Ham. That'll be the judge. On paper it HAS improved, but Hull took us apart at times as did Pompey

It would be really good if we could get through to the end of the season without conceding another goal.
Won't happen but it would make all the fans happier if it did.
On top of that it would be rather pleasant if them forwards we have could start scoring again.
