Dissapointment youth first 11

Maybe Aliadiere, JET, Wellington (he will never play for us)

Youth success 11:

all these players signed at a young age and either have played for us for many years or are looking the part now

I did think aliadiere. Thing is nobody thought he would ever be good so it's not really dissapointing. The thing that boggles the mind is how the hell did he stay at the club for so long.

What about Quincy?

We've got more failures than successes but when you sign young players it's more trial and error, you know some will fail so you sign them in numbers. The value of the successes far outweight the money wasted on the failues. The annoying thing though is when we persist with some of the crap ones too long.

Ashley Cole would surely be in the success XI. He's the best one we've had after Cesc.

Not sure RVP counts though as we bought him when he was already 20 or so (not old but can't really be classed as our youth). Same might be said of Denilson and Diaby.

no I still believe in him. He has the talent. Would like to see him have at least one more run of games in the team. I wouldn't say diaby was a faliure anyway, if we do sell him. I think he would have been a very good player if it wasnt for injuries.
