And not - in the example I gave you - in the case of the Norwegian mass murderer of teenagers, presently on trial, whose execution once convicted I would wish to see ordered. But I imagine that the Scandinavians ditched the death penalty years ago.

Thus, "One sympathises with the bereaved, (almost) regardless of the cause of death". The brackets signify a small qualification of the main statement.

Both can be grieved for fighting for their beliefs and values. 6 die, but what about those that they killed? Their no more right or less wrong than
