Yes I know some will make excuses, but let's get real here that was shocking ! It was our 5th (I think) defeat this season at OT which quite frankly is embarrassing.
Tonight we didn't just lose we got played off the park from the first whistle, not a single point in the game were we on top, it was one of the worst football games I've seen UTD play ever.
There are no excuses, it simply isn't good enough not by a long shot.
And people still say this squad doesn't require improvements !!!
The only positive I can see is that De Gea was brilliant tonight saved us from losing the game by 6 or 7, and Rooney scored 2 which add to his tally and that we are only 2.3 down, but I fear playing them in Spain I think they will easily beat us.

Tbh Arab I thought last summer was perfect chance to sign a CM after Scholes retired but he didn't even attempt to (so it seems)
As you all know I wanted a certain Dutchman, but that didn't happen and don't think it ever will.
I just don't think we can actually afford a decent midfielder !!
De Gea really was brilliant tonight, shame he had to pick ball out of net 3 times, didn't deserve that !!!

Does anyone remember we bid for Nasri but he ended up playing the Manchester clubs off against each other so he can get the best contract? SAF was interested in a central midfielder, he just didn't get his man but he will this summer once we lift the title.

Simply fact is Manchester United are not good enough, we have no chance of going through as Bilbao are a better team than us and the only player on the pitch who can take any credit out of tonight's match is David De Gea as he was superb. Rafael deserves a serious bollocking for his role in the conceding of the third goal as he showed a clear lack of desire to get back and clear the ball, Rooney's passing was shocking and if Athletic Bilbao are the fifth best team in Spain it says a lot for how far we have dropped and how much poorer the Premier League is compared to the Spanish League. Serious improvements need to be made in the summer as trophyless seasons like this one will become a regular thing.

Me. Tea, conceding 3 goals is down to one defender is it? Evans didn't do anything wrong tonight. He was immense.

Not saying it was down to one defender, I thought Evans played well but put it this way, if Vidic played in Evans position today, we would not have conceded 3 goals.

I don't think autd will sign anyone this summer, I reckon Scholes will re-sign and Fergie will say there is no value AGAIN and that Fletcher returning will be like having new player, I don't think we will get anyone.
It's a shame because it's so glaringly obvious to everyone that we are great everywhere else but poor in CM.
