Strategy and tactics for tomorrows

game against Everton at Goodison Park. Do Spurs go all out attack as per normal, and hope to outscore the opposition, or do they park the bus as at Anfield, and try to take a point. I for one would be more than happy to come away without another defeat. 1 point away at Everton at this stage of the season could prove to be invaluable.

The one thing is for sure, the midfield needs sorting out, we cannot allow Everton to overrun us in midfield and get to our back four as easily as Arsenal, Man United and even Stevenage did in midweek. Our early season discipline seems to have temporarily vanished, and gapping holes are starting to appear. Harry needs to pick a midfield 3 or 4 and try to stick with it until the end of the season now.

The midfield to me is absolute key to where we will finish in the prem, and how we will do from hereonin in the FA Cup.

We should not be looking for a draw at Everton.

If we consider a draw acceptabe at Everton, what hope have we got against Stoke, Chelsea, Swansea (1pt off Everton), Sunderland, Norwich or Fulham?

If we go looking for a point and decide to park the bus we will eventually concede, we have been all over the place defensively recently

A draw is unthinkable, a defeat is a disaster!

I agree to a certain extent about trying to park the bus, but I do think we need to stop being so gung ho, and just try to defend a bit more sensibly. A draw would in my book not be too bad, although I would obviously prefer all 3 points. But they will have to go up a few notches from Wednesdays very average performance to do that.

Arthur - I dont think we have been gung ho at all, we have just defended really poorly and some players lack the discipline to stay in formation. If we play our normal game there is no reason why we cant win, but to go to Everton who have struggled all season (better recently) and hope for a draw is asking for trouble

It would also mean no win in 3 PL games, we cant be doing that

Everton are unbeaten in 8, have recently beaten City and Chelsea at Goodson, so a draw would be very acceptable.

We have just come off the back of two very morale sapping defeats to Arsenal and Man United, so the ship needs steadying. Spurs will beat Norwich, Stoke, Swansea and Fulham, and all probability lose at Chelsea and draw at Sunderland, so I think the Everton game is extremely tricky, and a point would be ok in my book.

I'm sure Harry isn't going into any game looking for a draw! we need to win and keep winning

sorry but because of our recent form and with chelsea away coming up ( we will lose that) then a draw tommorow is unacceptable in my opnion. 3 points is needed so we then can go into the Stoke game with a confidence of getting the win......chelsea away we will lose, i know this for a fact just like i predict the United games every season. Chesea are rubbish but they have some sort of hold over us at the bridge and we will fold like a pack of cards like we usually do......3 points tommorow is a must

===================

They may have beaten City but Blackburn beat Man Utd away, but i i also think we should look to beat Blackburn at home - and not think about positive results they may have historically won. If we think like that, then we should be happy with a point against anyone. Didnt QPR beat Chelsea? In that case, would a draw be acceptable against them? Not on your nelly.

Everton are 13th in the league, we should be beating teams like that. No mistake.
