A day before the transfer window in Europe opens and 4 days before players return for preseason training so how will things play out.
We have been linked to a number of wingers because Wenger has resigned himself to the possibility of both Nasri and Cesc leaving and the possibility of Samir leaving is real as he still hasn’t signed the contract on the table and last time I checked him and his agent were given until 1 July.
Funny how Clichy could leave for a lesser club like Liverpool or man City and nobody at Arsenal seems to want to care why. The reason why is Clichy looks like he wants a new challenge, same with Kolo, same with Viera, same with Henry. players get to that point and Cesc after giving 8 years to the club is at that point. It doesn’t matter if he gets to play or not.
I’m excited about us looking for 2 center backs as it means we could move Vermalean to left back, I’m excited about Alvarez as he has a lot of qualities most players in our squad don’t have and its Directness. I’m excited about all the wingers because it means Walcott could play striker next season. I’m excited because as much as Arshavin will never be to me what Cesc is, he has the ability to play in the Cesc role.

The Arsenal Situation

Agree with pretty much all of the article apart from Arshavin playing the "Cesc role". Arshavin I would imagine will be employed on either side of RVP. Of course his best position is the traditional "2nd striker" role, playing just off of the shoulder of the front man, Arsenal don't play this attacking dynamic and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Also I agree, Walcott needs to be given more opportunity as a genuine striker and I think given a bit of creative license and some patience, he could be fantastic in that role! As good as he is (WHEN in form, I hasten to add) on the right of RVP/Chamakh, I just feel a genuine injection of pace through the middle is something Arsenal lack and have done since Henry left the club. And they've got an alternative right under their noses...

In terms of prestige and the size of club Liverpool are bigger than Arsenal.
Arsenal are bigger than us but remind me where you finished last season? Current squad wise i know which i would rather be playing with.
When you say for a lesser team are you talking about the size of the club or current ability within the squad? Because your statement is wrong either way.
