Why don't the lcub put an end to the speculation and offer Gradel a new contract?
Player of the year, said he wants to stay....yet we still haven't offered him a contract.
God help the club if we accept a bid for him. They'll be riots in the streets.

I think they are afraid to offer a new contract in case he turns it down.
Can you imagine the amount of clubs banging on the door looking for his signature?

morning!
i think if the offer is right he will go, snodgrass has a couple of years left on his contract so the situation is different, they can ask stupid money, but as for max, anything could happen, they would be stupid to let him go to a promotion rival and it would indicate a huge lack of ambition.

I imagine that in most cases players want to stay but don't get offered the contract they want or feel they deserve, I know this happened with Beckford and Johnson and it took a long time for Becchio's contract negotiations to be concluded.
I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens with Gradel.
In those situations when another club is offering you a better deal it might be hard to find reasons to stay at leeds in the current climate.

Apparently Fulham are in for Gradel. £3m and Stockdale on loan. I heard that from a source I have in footballing circles!
