Good news guys!

Sky Sports understands teenage midfielder Paul Pogba has agreed to sign a new contract to stay at Manchester United.

Has to be the best news to come out regarding Pogba in recent months. Still not 100% official but I'm sure skysports wouldn't report this if they didn't have good sources.

Great news, if it is confirmed.

I'm recollecting with a smile all the 'not good enough' / 'not worth £Xk per week' comments that came out when the rumours suggested he'd signed for Juventus.

Good news if he develops into a top player who earns himself a regular spot in the team, otherwise it's just news!

I think it goes on more levels than just that though....

An optimist could say that we have steadied a ship... Alot of talk about various youngsters moving on (ravel, already gone)... So this should give a sign to the youngsters that the club will back them and give them chances... If their attitude is right and they sign up to, what I assume, is a normal.. "next step" UTD contract.

A pessimist could say that we might now see more youngsters/agents forcing the club's hand to get a better contract, more visibility and more game time.

I reckon SAF had this one under control. Sounds to me like his agent tried to get him more dosh with the Juventus thing and SAF wouldn't ben over and stuck him with the reserves

Pogba seemingly decided he better not push it

Good news he looks like he decided to stay

Can't wait to see Cleverly and Pogba together in the next few seasons.

I hope Pogba develops to the level we all think he can.

SAF always knew what he was doing I think. Pleased Pogba has decided to stay.

good news. now if we lose him it will be for 5-10 million, not a bag of balls. he could also come good.

No an optimist, and a realist I'd suggest, would not have the view that the ship needed steadying, I'd actually suggest that getting rid of the likes of Morrison is an act that steadies the ship because we don't need people like that rocking the boat!!!

That's great news

From what I've seen he's a talented boy and a great prospect, and to have him commit his future to us is a great message to all the other youngsters.

Regarding Ferguson's comments about him after the match, do you see him breaking into the first team next season? I think he might go out on loan, as he's still very raw.
