They have been heavily linked with several players this season, the big ones being:
Nuri Sahin
Fabio Coentrao
Neymar
Chelsea have been linked with all of these players also, but I don't know why they would opt to sit on Madrid' bench, rather then playing football week in, week out.
Personally I would of liked to see Neymar and Sahin join us. Sahin has got outstanding vision and his passing was the best in the Bundesliga last year. Still very young, and it is reported the club were asking less then $10Million for him, which would be an absolute steal, but it looks like Real Madrid are going to get him.
Now he has to fight for a starting place against: Ozil, Di Maria, Alonso, Kaka, Khedira, Gago, Lassana Diarra, Granero, Pedro Leon, and Canales.
If they do sign Neymar also, it is likely they will switch to three midfielders, and personally I couldn't look past Ozil, Di Maria and Alonso for those positions, let alone Kaka and Khedira.
Although I think Neymar is more likely to start for Real Madrid then other possible signings, this would still force out a striker. Ronaldo is a definite starter upfront, so this leaves Benzema, Neymar and Higuain fighting for the last one/two space(s). I don't think any of them would be happy on the bench, and I can't see them happy with rotation either.
So whats going to happen? Are they going to sign two/three players Chelsea wanted and we are going to be left with an over-priced Kaka?
I think the club should be talking to Sahin' agent because I can't see how he is going to be happy with his role at Real. We can't do anymore with Neymar, we have met his price, it is now just a matter of preference.
For me Sahin, Neymar and Lukaku would be the perfect transfer window deals.
Real Madrid

AVB's open, more attacking game would suit him more and I do see him getting more regular playing time at the Bridge than the Bernabeau

Couldn't agree more but if we are to believe what we read in the media, that both Robinho and Pele are telling him Real Madrid then who knows. We need Luiz, Alex, Ramires and Piazon to get on the phone with him!

I'm with you on Neymar ...... i truly believe if he stopped taking input from outside sources, he would realise Chelsea is his club to make the biggest impact. He would bring that 'je ne sais quoi' into a team very set in their ways, he'd be idealised. N then if he lives up to his own promise, i'm sure we wouldn't standing in his way when the big boys from Spain come again provided we double our money on him.
At Madrid he'll be too busy waiting for Di Maria and Ronaldo to make a mistake and seize the limited chances he'll get, certainly in the first year. N just my opinion, but i don't believe he has the temperment to channel that frustration into becoming a great player for it, just like Robinho didn't.
At Chelsea, he has colleagues to help settle him in, he has a manager who'll let him play his own game, and the perfect foundations to become something special. Even as a Chelsea fan, i promise you that's my totally unbiased opinion

1. Sahin signed for madrid over a month ago.
2. he will get a game no problem IMO, extremely talented player, especially if Jose changes to 4-3-3 like hs has said.
3. I have faith that we won't sign Kaka

4. Di maria is a winger who would never play in a midfield 3.

I honestly cannot understand why Neymar would choose Real Madrid over us, we are supposedly offering him more money, he is going to play a lot more games for us than them and he also has currently 3 countrymen at the club with another coming in January.

Neymar is going to choose Madrid over Chelsea because he knows in the spanish league he can dive about the place and get away with it but he can't do that in the EPL also Pele and Robinho has been telling him that the spanish league suits his play.

If I were in his shoes I'd choose Chelsea. More likely to be a fan-favuorite and get regular playing time and he also suits their play better
