Has anyone realised Liverpool will not be

able to finish above man utd mathematically with 8 games to go if man utd and liverpool win there games up to then.

The gap could be 20 vs 18 titles and one of the biggest margins in the league.

Last year we finished 22 points ahead of liverpool. In 2009-2010 season man utd finished 22 points ahead of liverpool after man utd decline season and mcnulty and co predicted it was liverpools year instead they were on about man utd decline a year after bigging up liverpool finshing 4 points behind man utd who then finished 1 point behind chelsea

This year the gap between man utd and liverpool is 28 points although liverpool could cut that to 25. Liverpool seemed to becoming worse in league after Liverpool fans and the media made out dalglish record last year was only 2nd in form to man utd and how they will challenge for the title and at least get 4th spot.

This year they said recently we have more chance of 4th spot then man utd winning the title. Now we are 1 point clear and have supposedly the easier run in then man city. Liverpool are 10 points behind arsenal who are in 4th. Looks like once again even europa league football is out of the occasion this year on league form but carling cup win gives them an automatic spot.

Anyway if liverpool are not careful they could finish bottom half of the league.

Moral of the story is man utd declining are doing great in the premier league and liverpool under messiah king kenny and with new signings liverpool cried out for want even more strikers lmao.

My prediction is liverpool will finish 7th at best this season but how embarrising would it be if everton finished above liverpool. I suppose you won the carling cup but expectations have not been fulfilled.

I suppose next year and the year after that......... is your year :D

Well after arsenals win today top 4 is virtually impossible. Arsenal took the chance to catch up tottenham, liverpool had the same chance but decided to start losing and they were on about arsenal lacking bottle :D

''wanted Ferguson out for most of his first 5 years, ....''

3 and a half years at most.

If, and it is a big if, Liverpool win the FA cup and United finish trophyless, then who has had the better season?

Football is about winning trophies, of course the CL is the goal financially wise, but does finishing 2nd in the PL and qualifying for the CL mean more than winning half of the trophies available?

I'm not so sure, sure it means you were better in the league, but teams enter the season in all comps trying to win them...

I would prefer winning the trophies but man utd are favourites for the title and probably favourites for europa if we win against bilbao 3-1.

"We didn't blame Hodgson for dropping too many points. We blamed Hodgson for adopting a horrendous, static brand of football which was depressing players and fans alike, the dropping of points inevitably came because of that. We also blamed him for his bizarre press conference where every time he would say something ridiculous.

We are dropping points this season under Dalglish, yes, but we are playing much better football and creating a lot of chances. Let's put it this way, if we had somebody like Van Persie in our team now, we would be much higher up the league. If we had him in our team under Hodgson, the brand of football would render him pretty much ineffective as it did with Torres."

How are Liverpool playing better football? You are one of the lowest scores in the league! I think only Wigan, Everton, Stoke and QPR have scored less goals than Liverpool this season! And was for Woy's press conferences well they surely can't be worse than the crap Dalglish has come out with this season. Everybody has been incredibly critical of his handling with the press and the Suarez racism issue. He is a complete PR disaster.

Liverpool have a very bad accuracy, they keep missing the target or when they do hit the target they give the opoprtunity for the goalkeeper to save it. They need to shoot where the goalkeeper can't save it.

When goalkeepers are man of the match at anfield they save shots straight at them or instinctive.

Are you seriously suggesting that we are playing the same brand of football as we did under Hodgson, Batman? Jesus wept.

And Hodgson stuck his foot in his mouth pretty much every time he opened it. I know you all loved Hodgson because he was awful for us but he is gone now, so you might as well stop finding pathetic ways to stick up for him.

Liverpool now 25 points and 34 gd off man utd man utd.

If liverpool win all there games they have a slight chance of 4th. I reckon 6th at best though as the damage has been done already.

Well since then liverpool liverpool have been in freefall. The gap is still 28 points after liverpool playong 2 games. Man utd could extend it to 31 points.

If west brom finish above liverpool I would lol. Roy not good enough in the league finishes above them with west brom everyone will be .

Kuyt was so funny going on about top 4 and winning the games. Nasri comedy saying he hopes man utd win all there games and it to be decided at the etihad. Football is not as simple as that.

man utd could go 34 points clear of liverpool if we win at blackburn. I was actually thinking can we go 40 points clear of liverpool but now I think it is realistic.

Andy Carroll's Ponytail (U1217)
Liverpool only have 42 points from 31 games this season. This could be the worst points tally for ages for liverpool in the premier league under kenny dalglish. Liverpool could finish as 13 at the way they are going losing to any team they can. Imagine if everton beat liverpool instead.

Liverpool are in freefall and you can easily see liverpool not finishing in the top 10.
