Transfers In: Luis Suarez (£22.8m), Andy Carroll (£35m), Jordan Henderson (£16m), Charlie Adam (£7m), Doni (£0m), Stewart Downing (£20m), Jose Enrique (£6m), Sebastian Coates (£7m), Craig Bellamy (£0m)
Total of £113.8m
Transfers Out: Ryan Babel (£5.8m), Fernando Torres (£50m), Paul Konchesky (£1.7m), Milan Jovanovic (£0m), Nabil El Zhar (£0m), Sotirious Kyrgiakos (£0m), Emiliano Insua (£3m), Christian Poulsen (£0m), David Ngog (£4m), Phillip Degen (£0m), Raul Meireles (£12m), Chris Mavingwa (£1m), Daniel Ayala (£800k), Alberto Aquilani (£5.2m*)
Total of £83.5m
*subject to a transfer after 25 games for Milan
So since the new owners have come in we have seen £113.8m spent on players over three transfer windows, and £83.5m recouped from sales. Thats a net spent of £30.3m in three transfer windows (one summer window and two winter windows), which calculates to £10.1m net spent for each window.
Another promising aspect about our transfer dealings since the owners bought the club is that 14 players have been sold or released, and now don't fill our wage budget. The likes of Poulsen, Degen and Jovanovic all had wages exceeding £50k a week. It seems that over £15m of wages have been saved per year from wipeing out the deadwood in the squad.
Liverpool targetted many faces last summer including Gael Clichy, Phil Jones, Ashley Young and were also reported to be interested in Juan Mata. All four players went to English League clubs who could offer higher wages and Champions League football. It seems the same will be install for the summer coming up, with us unlikely securing Champions League football.
Since Liverpool's new owners have come in, there have been many fingers pointed towards the money spent by the club. However since the owners took over, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all had higher net spent. Liverpool currently find themselves heavily trailing behind Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle for top four.
More men need to be signed to break this gap, but how many more? Liverpooll have had one of the best records as a defence in the League this season, and we are a strong side when creating chances. It seems goals are lacking in this Liverpool side, and the club need to concentrate on the final third. A right winger and poacher seem the two signings needed, and the list of players needed is that short.

1. Why are you so touchy?
2. I thought it was the prediction of the Liverpool biased media that Liverpool was gonna win the league and we would finish at best 12th because we lost Nasri and Fabragas! If RVP goes and he wont I bet you, we would still make Champions league. (Did you see RVPs) reaction in our last game against newcastle? He loves Arsenal and we would match his ambition, we have money loads of it, and a shiny new stadium, and solid foundation for the future, what does Liverpool have? Andy Carroll and the Micky mouse Cup. Keep it! We love the Champions league better!

Well, you've really shown me how not to be touchy, there, TK
Lesson learned.
I doubt that 30m covers Togo's annual budget, TK. Our wage biull might come closer to it, but so would yours.
I think your fear of being sullied by "our kind of success" is unfounded. We're the most successful club in the country, and one of the most successful in European competition. and you're not going to achieve that any time soon. United might, but not you, so don't worry about it TK.

I don't have any contact with Downing, TK.

Henderson has enough talent to be the next Gareth Barry. Not exactly good business for £16 million.

Anybody can play that tedious game. (de Gea is the next Scott Carson. Not exactly good business for 17m,, blah, blah, blah).
I've seen your player evaluations (Rossi is better than Rooney, Rooney is better than RvP, etc., etc).
Seriously, you have a lucrative future as a chief scout.

You ask all the Arsenal fans, I've been saying for ages that RVP is better than Rooney. And techically, yes, Rossi is a better and more creative player than Rooney. Fair evaluations.

TK.Arsenal (U11959)
Are you for real?
Arsenal have been in the CL for the past 15 seasons and for what?
Are you telling me that you would not swap one of your last, pointless, 7 CL attendances, and that's all you did - show up, for a Cup?
The season is not even over and we could quite possible have two Cups at the end of the season.
No-one is going to remember Arsenal having their pants pulled down in the CL every season. The Arsenal players arn't going to have any medals. But your bank balance will be bigger.
Congrats.

Gareth Barry is better than both Carrick and Anderson who cost £36m between them.
