Bit of a weird one this, also a little picky. But i've just updated my Fifa 12 and we are longer listed as Tottenham Hotspur, instead we are Spurs.
It is something that has always slightly bugged me, whenever TV programmes, tables etc call us Spurs (ESPN does it a lot). I just figure that you wouldn't call Arsenal The Gunners or Everton The Toffees. I can see you may in some cases need a shortened version, but sometimes it is pointless.
I don't know why, but this always gets me. Oh and don't get me started on people who call us Tottenham Hotspurs.
I think the past few weeks have got to me, rant over.

Back to the article and I'm glad you mention it cos it's something I'm aware of too.
When I meet new people and get asked who I support I'll always say Tottenham, not Spurs. It bugs me when I see us listed as Spurs in league tables big time.
