our youths though so lauded by some are not actually that good and this is why the first team is not flooded with players of a young age.

1. Sterling, if the kid (who is great mind) finished half the chances he gets or showed a little more intelligence in truning back, looking for support and not running down a blind alley) well maybe he'd be i nthe firsts not learning the ropes in the reserves.

2. a lot of guys think suso is god's gift, i don't he was anonymous at reserve level for at least six months this year.

3. Coady, decent but unspectacular. probably better than spearing at his age for sure but there you go, hardly world calss like some say.

4. wisdom, decent and pacy but needs a lot of experience.

5. the rest, look with the best will in the world they are all developing boys but we are LFC and I have to say there's only one or two in the whole nextgen squad i'd identify as being anywhere near good enough to make our squad.

6. compare if you must to owen, fowler and gerrard. we knew when they were 14, 16, 17.. they were really special. only sterling fits that category and he needs to add to his game to step up... but be assured when he does kenny will pick him.

I know the Youth Cup semi is on ITV4 Friday if anybody is interested, Utd vs Chelsea.

they have shown it on LFCtv as we are in it, might be dif next season tv choice wise as it is getting noticed more and had some big teams competing this year, just hope its not put on Sky as i don't have the sports channels

Some nice skills some of them have, esp Sporting Lisbon and Ajax youths, didn't see the Barca youths, but Ajax knocked them out.

playing the semis at the moment, even though we are as good as out from the first leg result. Its on LFCtv or at least our games are(virgin ch 544 don't know sky), not sure if they air the other teams games, might be on line via a stream somewhere.

if you ever go on an official utd site or anything have a look next season see if any news if you lot have been invited to play in it, some good football is played, def helps the youth setups of clubs.

Ahh nice one, I'll keeo an eye out, sounds like a good tournamnet. Good experience for the youngsters too.
