initiallly thought. He may have been hindering Torres and Kalou.

We are pretty known for starting and finishing seasons strongly.
Also, it seems that many of our players are putting in a great deal more effort than before. We know it was BECAUSE of AVB, but not whether it was THE FAULT of AVB.

Fair enough. What about Sturridge though? Looks like AVB did a good job for him, he hasn't looked the same player since he left.

Well that solves that

steryd he was good vs Napoli (I thought) but poor tonight, I think those have been his only two appearances for us since AVB went, not enough to judge IMO

He's been figured out. If he had more aspects to his game, he'd have a higher success rate. Thing is, he's good at beating men, holding onto the ball and scoring, but not good enough to justify doing exclusively that. He doesn't offer defensive protection either.

But his poor run of form started when it was becoming obvious AVB might be fired, and when senior players + the likes of that clown Gourlay were publically showing their dissapointment.

He's not been figured out because he is still the best in our squad and IMO one of the best in the league going one on one with his man. It is upto him to improve his game so he can still make an impact AFTER he's beaten his man.

I'd say he has. Teams double up on him when in possession because they kind of know that he'll try to do both men instead of utilising a team mate.

particularly if that team mate is Torres. It should not be that difficult to correct this attitude, a good talking to by team mates and a benevolent manager, then we will be truly hard to beat as a strike force.

Kalou's a hindrance to himself. Cause he's crap
