I don's agree with brawls at conferences but where does everyone get off thinking boxers need to be gracious and humble. Everyone now loves Muhammad Ali but have you some of you listened to the insults he threw at his opponents. If that happened in this day and age many of you that worship this man would say he is arrogant and disrespectful.
"If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you."
A backhanded compliment, rather than an insult, from Muhammad Ali to a young boxer.
"Joe Frazier is so ugly he should donate his face to the US Bureau of Wildlife."
Frazier took Muhammad Ali's taunt before their first heavyweight title fight in 1971 very personally - particularly when Ali then called him an Uncle Tom.
I really don't mind the jibes and back chat but boxing has nothing to do with being humble. The respect usually comes after the fight not before...it's all about selling tickets and selling the fight.

Im not into Boxing at all, but i do find all the pre-fight antics annoying, everyone knows its just an act to try and get one over on your opponent

Cheers RRP. Kell Brook seems to be the real deal. Better prospect than Khan in my opinion. Khan keeps getting chances and screws them up. Don't know how he keeps getting title fights. Prescott and Peterson are not really World class opponents and he has lost to both of them.

Kel Brook - If you can't K.O Matthew Hatton and N'dou then you are going to struggle to win a world title in Welterweight unless the likes of FMJ and Pacman call it a day.

loavirgo - All I am saying is that in the division that both Brook and soon to be Khan (if he beat Peterson) you need more than speed in your locker as in Welterweight there are plenty of boxers with speed and certainly have more power than these two.
It would be nice if Kell fought someone like Bradley Alexander next or Moseley as Berto and Ortiz are due to have a re-match and as for Khan my advise for him is to stay at light-welterweight cos his lack of power will do him no favours in Welterweight.

Ali may have verbally baited his opponents but he didn't slap them at the weigh-in or spit at them or brawl with them at post-match press conferences. That Chisora fella is a reprehensible, loathsome human being. He didn't even have any remorse whatsoever until his learning he faces suspension.
Thoroughly despicable, contemptible fella.
