The Mohammad Amir Interview

Is anyone watching this? Very sad...

Its on Sky Sports 2 at the moment but it will be repeated at 9pm UK time on Sky Sports 1

I would imagine that it will be on utube shortly for those who don`t have access to Sky TV.

I really feel for Amir, Pakistan have been robbed of something special IMO,

When does his ban actually end? At what date did it start?

posted on 19/3/12

Amir, the day he stopped playing cricket so will be 2 years in August.

I think the ban was imposed late in 2010 not in August. Those players were only on suspension at first.

the biggest thing that annoys me about mohamed amir is not he match fixed but his lies. the guy after getting alleged and just before his trial started, was shown in a pak channel interview, and he swore upon god, and he said he is innocent. how can i have mercy on this guy, who till he was found guilty was in praise of salman butt and was also saying he has done nothing wrong. this is the best example of double standards. now he is crying about on television how he fell on a trap and salman butt cheated on him. to me out of the 3 fixers amir is the one i have less respect of. atleast the other are not blaming each other and crying on national tvs to get sympathy because of their age.

if at the age of 18 you can legally come a father how can he not be responsible

I don't remember him saying he's not responsible or anything... At the end of the day, unlike the other idiots, at least he's admitted to what he has done!

By the way, if anyone wants my bank details, just phone me, say your name is Ali and I'll give you them...

avfc, then why are people who are 50 years old on this forum questioning the fact that amir was innocent and he dint know what he was doing. i will never ever want him back because even though he comes back, i will always look at him as if he is fixing matches. fair and square. some players are sweating their heart out in the domestic matches, just waiting for when their stars will shine, and this lucky dude who got noticed from the millions of pak population wasted his opportunity and cost some other cricketers place

Viru, the other two didn't even have the cojones to tell the truth and Amit told the truth too late, none of them come out of this very well at all.

Viru, don't you really think that there are many other players have done similar things or may be a lot more but never got caught. What Amir did was wrong but he didn't throw away a match or a tournament, he just did few no balls to get some money. I am sure that there are other players who give away whole matches and tournaments but they never get caught. Another thing is that if somebody has done a crime and served due punishment for that. he should not be treated as a criminal, because the whole idea of a punishment is to bring improvement in a person and Amir clearly seem to be regretting what he has done and I don't have any reason to believe that after completing his punishment who would definitely be a changed person and would not even think og doing something silly like. On the other hand I don't care if Asif comes back or not because he has been involved in different controversies over and over and never learns. Even now he doesn't seem bothered about his ban so I am not really keen to see him back.
