Hello all,
I decided to make an article on statistics that annoy you. Simply because they do not tell the whole story. (simple enough right?)
Mine is the one that reads: ''Without Van Persie's goals, Arsenal would be in 15th place'' (or something like that)
Well thank you very much media for letting me know what would happen if Arsenal played every game without a striker. This would mean we would have started every game with 10 men & no main striker. When you look at it like that, it's a useless statistic because if RVP never existed im sure we would have had another striker in place who would make up some of the goals. Heck I'm sure even Chamakh would have regained some confidence if he had a long run like that in the team.
All it really shows is that if we played each game with 10 men we would avoid relegation.
Rant away....

Goals/shots on target.
What about the shots off target?!

Annoying stats?
40/40/60
Brilliant stats
36/26/34
Seriously though, assists are too misleading. Valencia supplying Rooney would show a good assist rate
Valenica supplying Torres wouldn't
Assists should really be 'created a chance' or something

In regards to the Hendo price question.... £16M Cash and they valued N'Gog at £5M = £21M in total!!!!
The scouse press are trying to ease the pain i'm afraid, the telegraph is usually quite reliable....

@Albert Morgan,
£16mil plus Ngog?
Didnt Henderson move from Sunderland?
And didnt Ngog move to Bolton?

Yes, Ngog did indeed move to Bolton. And we paid £16m to Sunderland for Henderson. Why would I be trying to ease the pain? I wouldn't care if it really was £20m, but it wasn't.

Oops, I see you said the Scouse press. Well the Scouse press are more reliable than any national paper as far as I'm concerned.

I used to be able to look at any woman and tell you her bra size. At one place I worked for about 5 years theyd quite often test me and go and ask the women to see if I was right (often the women would ask to avoid getting a slap). I didnt get any wrong for years, but some of the women I was asked to guess thought it was an annoying stat (and some were quite impressed and seemed to like me looking at their t1ts

Good to know RBW
But it sounds a bit like a statistic to me...
