Alan I thought the atmospere for the first 30 mins was great and after Chelsea scored we did our part in lifting the players. I did however think squeeky bum time set in for the fans for the last 15 minutes of the first half and 10 minutes into the second as the tension got to us and nothing seemed to be going in.
Mind its a hell of a sight better than it was for the first few seasons when I think the ground and its unfamiliarity got to us.
Mmm, you must be one of these new City fans, most of the old school I know would be much more magnanimous in victory.
To those, good game and congratulations, gutted we lost but I hope you go on to give the reds a good run for thei money, pip them to the post if possible.
To the OP, Meh! Not sure I would even want to make an issue about the empty seats in the home end.
YOU ONLY CAME FOR THE CHELSEA!!!!!
you call that a atmosphere
Blimmy , you made arsenal fans sound loud ...
We were allocated 2747 tickets and only 300 turned up? I think you were looking at all the empty seats at the home end
You did, did you notice, bar a sending off it was almost a mirror image of the first match, home win, away team scores first, one of the winning teams goals was a pen.
I know, I'm sad.
But in all seriousness, good luck with your run in.
Great atmosphere but not quite as good as last Thusday against Sporting.
It's a bit petty having a go at the Chelsea fans considering it was a televised Wednesday night game - They still brought more than Bolton and Blackburn combined.

Good of you to come to our match when Spurs were playing at home. I do like an educated post now and then ....you should try it.
And the game got changed from Monday to Wednesday which would have messed up a lot of fans travelling plans...it was like lstening to United with all that singing with cockney accents..
I watched it on TV, so apologies if I am way off the mark here, but my impression was that the City fans were getting on the players back quite early on in the game and their anxiety was spilling over on to the pitch and this was at 0-0.
The only time i felt the crowd were getting behind city was when they scored the penalty, but as I said, I was not at the game, so probably way off the mark.
Touchy lot these cockernays!
You say one small thing and BAM! weeewwwww!!
I usually read the BBC live text at half time and it said on there that the City fans were nervous - Garbage, we were playing well and the vast majority of our home goals this season have been scored in the 2nd half.

We should have parked the bus at 1-0

Its a natural reaction to raise your arms like that Biggish but he should have known better

Well i certainly raised mine when I saw what he had done.
No offence but Man City like most clubs up North ie Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton, Everton the atmopshere is poor,
You get charged less (Cheap ticket prices), dont fill your grounds and have the cheek to moan about other fans
Man Utd would be the same if they didnt have London based fans
Hey John!
No offence?
Poor atmosphere? Coming from a supporter of a team who play at the library?
Arsenal fans payest the most expensive ticket prices in the world and yet fill our stadium week in week out and provide a better atmopshere than the inbreds you get at the wastelands
John - Hhaving been to the Etihad had many times, and the very occasional away jaunt to a few London grounds; with respect, you're talking out your backside.
I don't if its acoustics or the way it comes across on TV, but if you're an armchair fan, admittedly it doesn't sound great.
But when you're actually there it booms. All of the people I hear criticise the atmosphere at the Etihad have only witnessed it on the box x
