Very unfair to leave Ricketts out who has been our most consistant player since his return.

Think it will be:

----------------------Bogdan--------------------

Steinsson---Wheater---Ream---Ricketts

Ryo---NRC---Mavies---Pratley---Petrov

---------------------N'gog----------------------

Oh b(_)gger forgot all about Ricketts. Would be adverse to him going DM actually. Hasn't he played there before?

*Wouldn't

I don't think he's played DM before, but certainly played CB covering Cahill and did a very good job.

Ricketts at CB with Ream as DM could be an option.

I'd go with Woody's team but would go with Ngog to start with.

I'd go with Bricks team.

Midfield need to crowd out the likes of Hoilett and stop them getting the ball to him.

Close call between Klasnic and N'Gog, but I would go for N'Gog, with the option of bringing Klasnic on from the bench to get a goal if needed.

Woody's team for me....although I would play two up front if I had my way. We have to go for it all out IMO.

zkat

2 up front = 4 man midfield, which this season has been about as effective as a one man midfield.

-----------------Bogan
Steinson---Ream--Wheater--Ricketts
--------------NRC---Davis if available - pratley if not (he's improving)
----Ryo-------Mavies--------Petrov
------------------Ngog (Klasnic brought on - more effective)

IMO would be the best, Steinson is on form and would not like to see him dropped, although I think Alonso has iimpressed with every performance this season.

I agree with Notlobbing. Steinsson has been playing well and to drop him wouldn't send the right message. Similarly with Pratley.

If Davis is fit I'd have him on the bench along with Alonso.

I remember Sam Ricketts playing defensive midfield away at Chelsea once and he did a pretty good job.

Heathen.

4-4-2 has been tried and failed beyond count now. Especially with KD.

Bogdan
Ricketts, Wheater, Ream, Alonso
Mavies, NRC, Pratley
Sordell, Ngog, Ryo

Go all out, alot of people saying we need to keep them quiet, but why not give them something to worry about with the pace of Sordell and Ryo attacking them and Ngog spearheading the attack and Mavies joining in. This worked wonders at home under Big Sam with Diouf and Stelios either side of SKD, why cant it work again?

Are some people suggesting to play Sean Davis?!

The bloke that hasn't played a competitive premier league game for about 2.5 years, and we want him to play in a must win game for us?!

I appreciate that, when fit, he is probably better than Pratley, but he doesn't even get a look in at the moment. He is less likely to play for us again than Muamba is.

What worries me is that due to recent rerrible events, coyle is destined to play a 442 with the man who has performed a great role for the club over the past week...it will be davies and ngog up front...queue the same wtf attitude on the concourse as the wigan game...

I'd play Ricketts at centre back with Ream, my team would be

------------------------------Bogdan-------------------------
Steinnson---Ream------Ricketts---------Alonso------
------------------------Reo Coker-------------------------
----------------Prately----------------Mavies-------------
Ryo----------------------------------------------------Petrov
------------------------N'gog-------------------------------

OC doesn't often (hardly ever) changes a winning team. Same team and formation as what started against QPR.

----------------------Boggers
Gretar--------Ream-----Wheater------Ricketts
Ryo-----NRC-----Mavies-----Pratley----Petrov
-----------------------N'Gog

Bogdan
Ricketts Alonso
Ream Wheater
NRC Pratley
Miyaichi Mavies Petrov
Klasnic
Although picked Miyaichi on the right I believe he will have more of an attacking force on the left,I dont think Petrov could switch effectivley.Hopefully Petrov and Alonso can provide us with the width they did at Ewood early doors.I cant see this team finishing the match and can imagine Eagles will appear at sometime on the right allowing Miyaichi switching to the left.Still think it will be a big ask tomorrow and what concerns me is the mindset/mental state of our players.Yes it would be fantastic to come out all guns blazing and snatch two early goals, but we have to win the midfield war early doors. The crowd will be so important tomorrow, plenty of emotional energy will be around and no doubt plenty of ale consumed pre match.Agree with Trigger the formation will probably be not what we expect and we dont need that wtf attitude to spread about and get to the players.
Tomorrow 3 points is vital after QPR's result.Enjoy everyone,COYWM.

Only one O in Coyle nailed it for me.

my problem with the ricketts/ream centre back pairing is who is going to be winning the ball in the air?not a massive fan of wheater but he is best cb we have at the moment.i see lh has queried my selection of mavies on the right.in my selection he wouldnt be playing as a winger but in a role he did well in early in the season on the right of midfield.i want a solid 5 in there to stop blackburn playing and stopping the supply to yakubu and hoilett.like it or not blackburn outgun us in the goalscoring dept.if we can control our emotions keep a clean sheet i predict the goalmachine klasnic will earn us a gritty and much needed 1-0 win.
