Yea, I think a lot of fans underestimate Ades importance to us. His all round game is excellent, and although he does blow hot and cold, for me he's one of our most important players.

Considering he recieved the ball out on the left most of the time he did really well, most of his passes found the man and he kept trying to make space out there.

as a gooner i can tell, you he misses goals he fustrates, but he is a very good footballer. He links play and can hold it up.

If you can get someone better on the market fine, if not he someone worth having around if he wants to be there.

BAE whipped in a couple pearlers of crosses and they fell to no one as our striker wasnt in the box (changed when Luis came on). Plus he seems to occupies Bales position and vise versa. I dont know who's fault that was, yet Ade is a poor winger, and Bale is a poor striker.

I watched the Chelsea game today and thought Spurs deserved to win. Adebayor was very good at holding the ball up, and the one most culpable for missed chances was VDV today. I thought Bale was unlucky on a couple of occasions, but was also quite selfish, shooting when it wasn't really on. It looks like Spurs just need one to go in though, and then they'll be back on form.

All the rumours today are that we'll be getting Rossi. I'm still hopeful that we'll sign Damiao too - despite having only seen highlights of him he looks like an exciting prospect.

Ade reportedly sends half his wages to African charities - there is no way in the world he'd sign for us for less than half the 200k+ a week he's on at City.

Because it is not enough. We need much better than him.

I think you're overrating him. He was alright in patches, in fact it was one of his better displays, but other better strikers would be the difference between winning that match and drawing it. And there have been times where's he's made the team worse, not better. Depends whether he turns up switched on or not.

By time-honoured striker measures, Adebayor has not delivered. And even if he goes into hyper-drive in the last 8 games, too late IMHO.
