Is that his testicles? I'm confused!
Yeah it's strange.
I know that Tendonitis normally takes 4-6 weeks to completely heal. But initial recovery is much quicker.
Treatment
Treatment of tendon injuries is largely conservative. Use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, rest, and gradual return to exercise is a common therapy. Resting assists in the prevention of further damage to the tendon. Ice, compression and elevation are also frequently recommended. Physical therapy, orthotics or braces may also be useful. Initial recovery is typically within 2 to 3 days and full recovery is within 4 to 6 weeks. As tendinosis is more common than tendinitis, and has similar symptoms, tendinitis is often initially treated the same as tendinosis. This helps reduce some of the chronic long-term risks of tendinosis, which takes longer to heal.
Steroid injections have not been shown to have long term benefits and are equivalent to NSAIDs in the short term. In chronic tendinitis laser therapy has been found to be better than conservative treatment at reducing pain; however, no other outcomes were accessed.

In other words, nurse him through to the end of the season and then tell Blanc he's not available for France this summer.

Tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon.
Tendinitis with an i indicates it is linked to disease
As far as my understanding goes (and I'm no expert, but I suffered it when I played rugby) is that tendinitis is just a fancy way of describing inflammation of the tendon, the 'itis' bit makes it sound more like a chronic disease when it's really more like a description of a symptom.
I imagine what Hargreaves has is more like tendinosis, which is more of a recurring degradation caused over time and which can gradually get worse.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable (ie. not on the Arsenal medical staff) will enlighten us.
so i take it hargreaves may have had tendinitis not tendonitis?

So it's not a major problem then?
I honestly thought they were 2 ways of spelling the same thing
on Laurent Koscielny…
Koscielny had tendinitis in his knee when he woke up this morning. I don't know what position he slept in but he could not walk properly. He tried in the warm-up but could not play. We decided in the morning when he woke up. He came to see me and said he was not sure that he could play with that pain. So we called somebody up and pushed him in the warm-up. Straight away after the first run he said he could not even move. How bad it is we have to assess.
^Quotes from Arsene.
Hmm, seems like a significant concern. Let's hope Djourou performs.
What source said he would be fit for QPR?
@younggunsblog on Twitter, fairly reliable source when it comes to team news/injuries etc.
