The other thing is how many different players and managers people say we should bring in the summer; Cavani, Hazard, Llorente, Martinez, Keita etc.

Be honest, and I mean be genuinely honest; looking at the way we are playing at the moment and our form and results, how many of that calibre of player do you truly think would choose to come to us?

The problem you have is that any new manager is going to want to clear the squad out and install players with his own ethos.
Obviously the likes of Downing, Carroll, Henderson and Adam have come up for widespread criticism, but if you get a new manager in, he is just going to make his own signings, each of which may not shine from the start either.

I seriously think that you should stick with Dalgliesh for the next season or two, and see if the team can gel and play good football. It's far too early to tell what his long term plans are. The board decided that he was the man for the job. They should stick with him and they may be vindicated in the long run. There were plenty of our fans who wanted Ferguson out in the late 80's, the difference here is that Dalgliesh already has had success in England.

Agreed with Reggie (formerly of SW??); the Suarez incident destroyed our season. We lost momentum (as things were looking well before the ban was announced, albeit a few too many draws at home), we lost the player we're clearly building a team around, but worst of all, Liverpool and Kenny lost face.

It was Kenny's handling of the whole affair which made me cringe every time he'd get in front of the post-match cameras. He and we did not come out of the affair very well, and is it any coincidence that our terrible form has been since the turn of the year when it all kicked off?

I love Kenny, I'd love to see him have next season to prove his case, but I'm not sure the dressing room is his any longer. I think there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than what we're seeing, and I think that's why FSG will axe him this summer.

In response to the OP, I'll be honest, Wishi, I did think he could do the job - football rides a lot on man-motivation and Kenny certainly had it back then. Now it seems that power has diminished, we're in trouble and egg is on my face. Such is the football life!

I see what you're saying about Suarez, and yeah, Kenny could've handled it better, but without going back over old ground, Evra lied, although I think Suarez could've handled things better, too. He served the 8 match ban, there would've been no point in appealing.

Whatever Evra and his cronies set out to do they've done it.

If you're saying the other players are still miffed with Kenny and Suarez over the affair you may be right but no one forced them to put on those T shirts. No use btching about it now.They want to start proving they're a unit by acting like one, and they're not.

The Suarez affair is a red herring.

You're just not very good. The reason that you're not very good is that the players in your side, aren't very good. The reason that they're not very good, is because your manager has bought donkeys for top dollar. The end.
