I can't get my head round why people think we will or have much of a chance, because nothing I've seen all season points to us having any chance of getting 5/6 wins out of 7
I think we stand a good chance of getting in the playoffs. This doesn't mean I think we will get there, but as infinite said, the teams around us are doing their best to help out.
I was truly p'd off after the mauling we got in midweek. I am still not a fan of Colin and that result didn't help. But I do recognize that he seems to be able to motivate players and get teams promoted.
My worry is if we don't get in the playoffs this year we won't do it next year either.
I can't see there being a change in attitude above neither KB or SH.
Our best 7 game sequence of the season is as follows:
wwdwwdw. This was against poor opposition as 5 of these teams are now in the bottom 7. Also even with a bit of momentum, the draws were Coventry in the last minute (still annoyed about that now) and Brighton where we chucked away a 2 goal lead.
Our remaining fixtures leave it very difficult to see us stringing these sort of results together.
Nothing wrong with still hoping ..... never say die and all that.

GBG....so you don't think there'll be an 'explosion of activity' in the summer ?...
I really hope we do get in play offs but even Warnock doesn't think we will, he's not stupid and knows the team is way off, that's why he is already planning for next season.
LIW...whoever warnock brings in will probably be on a short term, year or 2 year contract, cos no doubt he'll be telling em that he's only gonna be here for the one season before retiring....won't he ?
I sat there after the Forest game and said 'the play-offs are gone'
i walked out of The New Den and thought 'we can still do this'
All the results went our way, we got a good result with a spirited performance.
After my dramatic swing in opinion over this last week i have decided to stay positive until it is mathematically impossible

i think we'll need 2-3 more results going for us before i can say that we're in with a shout....
Harj ..... have you thought that the lack of expectation following the Florist result might actually work to our favour ????
Maybe without the pressure of expectation the team might surprise both us and themselves.....

Infiniteone, looking at the same stats and going on the points per game over last 8 and rounding up and down the averages If they stayed the same over the rest of the season final positions would be
4th Brighton 73pts
5th M'boro. 72pts
6th B'ham. 69pts
7th B'pool. 67pts
8th Leeds. 67pts
9th. Cardiff. 66pts
10th Hull. 66pts
Harj, I can't see there being any great activity. I hope I am wrong. Maybe though the earlier thread on fitness could be true and Colin gets the squad into better shape for next season and may not feel he needs to spend alot. I think it will be his last season in football which will affect signings.
