Nasri can go. If he doesn't want to wear Arsenal colours then there are plenty players who are just as good enough or better who would walk over his over-bloated-body-due-to-eating-£10-notes to do so
Nasri had a great half a season. Then he scored 1 goal from mid January right through til the end of the season.
You'd rather keep Nasri than Fabregas.
Really?

Much like Arsenal then?
Just curious, how long does Nasri have left on his contract? I'm assuming its one year due to all this speculation?

To be honest apart from Rvp everyones form dipped second half of the season. Look at Djourou, absolute beast 1st half of the season and 2nd half the season he was a shadow of himself.
I agree with the OP, if we can't keep Fabregas then Nasri has to stay. You can't expect us to stay competitive if we lose 2 of our best players in the same window.

Is there really????
If so will Wenger stump up the fee for a player of Nasri's quality or better?
Nasri is apparently worth 20 million in the last year of his contract. I can't see Wenger paying more than that on a replacement.
That is my feeling mate. We should hold him on. Otherwise things will go worse. Be warned gunners.

Well said machinegooner. There's no way these players are going to replaced adequately and thus our squad will be even weaker next season.
the hell?
cesc is truly world class, whereas nasri has had a good 4/5 months, but the potential is there.
Whilst id love to keep cesc, the club are still running in budget mode so it may be pointless.
Well it would be best if our best players stayed but this what you get for lacking investment and a too autocratic management style.
Its very clear that Cesc wants to move to Barcelona

Its Crystal.
And are you stil living under that big rock where you think Cesc wants to stay at Arsenal?

I don't think anyone has to be Mystic Meg to ascertain that Fab has wanted to go home for a while now.
Oh yeah let's keep the greedy nasri who wants over 100k for just playing well for 3 months and sell cesc who is on 90k a week and plays his heart out week in week out for arsenal.
LOL do Arsenal fans think Cesc doesn't want to go ???
My name is Vermaelen
Let's hear what you do then if you are telling yourself the truth. Most of us wouldn't like to face the truth. Cesc wants to go. that is clear crystal clear. We can't hold on a player with no desire to stay and play. Only option we have at hand is to try to keep Nasri what he is. You can't stop Cesc from going. believe me!
I have a feeling that the Cesc deal is now more or less agreed, however like most would prefer if he stayed.
That said you can hardly blame Cesc for wanting to join Barca.
Nasri played well for 3 months now? I thought it was 6 months before? Ridiculous. He was your best player last season when both RVP/Cesc were injured. He ran the show.
Yet you reserve criticism for Cesc who lets face it, his mind has been somewhere else for a good two years now.
You need to pay big money now to win things. Giving Nasri an extra 10k is not gna bankrupt Arsenal. It will ensure you keep your best player and give you a better chance of winning things.
Sorry. Best player is a bit strong. He's an influential player. Selling him for the sake of an extra 10k he wanted will be detrimental to your team.

Lets not pretend Cesc doesn't want to go. Yea he doesn't want to leave for monetary reasons but he still wants to leave
Nasri wants more money and it is a bit sickening to us fans as we would pay to the club to play, but that is football today. We can't fight it, so the club either stand their ground and let him go or wake up and realise if we our to keep our best players we have to pay like the rest.
It hurts me to say it but money talks in football these days.
Mr Chelsea
I would like to believe that the contract negotiations have not stalled solely due to 10k, rather than a lack of ambition (from Nasri’s perspective) in recruiting new players.
However I would not be surprised.

What would Stuart Pearce do.
No offence but signing Gervinho doesnt exactly send shivers down anyones spine does it?
I know Arsenal have a good business model which everyone wants to emulate but why not just for one summer, spend some of this "money" which Arsenal always say is there on some steller world class seasoned professionals who might be the difference between you challenging properly for the league or the annual self implosion you suffer year in year out.
Im assuming you're an Arsenal fan?
Mr Chelsea
Yip, agree.
We have £50m sitting in our club accounts classed as “other” plus a cash reserve of around £130m. While the reserve is unlikely to be used on player recruitment I feel that the squad needs some much needed experience.
