a class apart in the SPL
even though he was coasting it a bit this season
Worth at least 10 million I would have to say
Nice to see its just as easy to score in England as the so called diddy Scottish league
wish we had finalised the deal for him
Aye sad loss on last seasons form
grimmest part is we never saw the dough for him
That was some miss though
he was a decent player nothing more.
evertons naw looked this good up front for a while
Guy that sits behind me at Ibrox never rated Jelavic, always slagged him every week and even when he scored it was never enough.
Personally I thought he was very good, a touch of class we had missed for a while and I think Everton stole him at the fee they got for him.
Another big player Rangers have been unable to hold on to thanks to the lack of money in the SPL in general and at Ibrox in particular over the past few years.
Good, quality players like van Bronkhurst, Tugay, Amaruso and Arveladze, Lovenkrands, Arteta, Cuellar, Hutton and even Charlie Adam in the past decade might well have stayed with Rangers if the money had been there to keep them.
The usual Celtic fans on here will no doubt find something to scoff at in this sad state of affairs, but their team is in the same boat and has also lost several decent players (can't place any off the top of my head but I'm sure they'll remind us all) over the same number of years for the same reasons.
Not much chance of even competing with second or third level teams in Europe when your better players leave for greener pastures.

Charlie Adam left because Walter Smith didnt play him often and when he did itnwas out of position.
Nothing to do with money...the others I agree with. But sure Rangers were paid a fair wack for some of those players.
More to do with the standard of the SPL and EPL though
Charlie Adam left because we sold him
actually glad to see him doing well if im honest.
looks good for the spl overall i think. hes got about 3 in 6 games or something like that hasnt he?
I believe he's scored in every game he's started so far...
Charlie Adam has been found out big time this season.
Even with Lucas injured hes struggling to get a game.
He no longer gets away with being the novelty act that does the fancy pass every now and then for plucky wee Blackpool that had the MOTD boys fawning over him.
Now he needs to operate at a high level every week when your team goes into most games as favourites with expectations high. And he has struggled massively.
Kinda like how he was at Rangers really.
Hes just one of a number of shocking buys by Dalgleish in his inept second spell in charge.
