Here's the St Mirrens fans view
"By my reckoning the stats for St Mirren are almost bang on for the overall figure.
After the first 14 SPL games we have committed 134 fouls (an average of about 9.57 per game) and had 25 yellow cards and 1 red card (straight red). If you count the red as 1 booking rather than 2 yellows then that means that overall on average a St Mirren player gets booked every 5.1538461 fouls, and if you count Nigel's red as 2 yellows then our average is a booking every 4.9629629 fouls.
1. 25 July - Dunfermline away - 18 fouls, 2 yellows (O' Reilly)
2. 30 July - Aberdeen home - 10 fouls, 3 yellows (Norris)
3. 6 Aug - Dundee United away - 9 fouls, 3 yellows, 1 red (Allan)
4. 13 Aug - Motherwell home - 7 fouls, 2 yellows (Brines)
5. 20 Aug - Hibs away - 9 fouls, 1 yellow (Muir)
6. 28 Aug - c*ltic home - 12 fouls, 0 bookings (Collum)
7. 10 Sept - St Johnstone home, 10 fouls, 3 bookings (McLean)
8. 17 Sept - Hearts away, 10 fouls, 3 bookings (Richmond)
9. 24 Sept - Killie home, 11 fouls, 3 yellows (Finnie)
10. 1 Oct - ICT away, 12 fouls, 1 yellow (Salmond)
11. 15 Oct - r*ngers away, 8 fouls, 2 yellows (Allan)
12. 22 Oct - Hibs home, 5 fouls, 1 yellow (Madden)
13. 29 Oct - St Johnstone away, 6 fouls, 1 yellow (Norris)
14. 5 Nov - Hearts home, 7 fouls, 0 bookings (Conroy)
Stats for c*ltic in less detail!
played 13 games (1 less than St Mirren) committed 138 fouls (4 more than us despite playing less games than we have), 11 yellow cards (including 1 second yellow to make a red), 1 straight red card. Average number of c*ltic fouls per game 10.62 (higher than St Mirren's average). Average number of fouls per booking 10.6 (if you count a straight red as 2 bookings) or 11.5 (if you count a straight red as 1 booking).
c*ltic have had 6 games where they received no bookings and a further 4 where they only picked up 1 yellow card!"

Cheating pays, according to these stats!

"Celtic players have been booked, on average, after every 10.1 fouls. Comparing this to the league average (which equates to a booking per 6.5 fouls) and Celtic’s disciplinary record for the season raises some serious questions, with many clubs in the league getting booked with almost twice the frequency of the Glasgow club. Indeed, comparing the fouls/card ratio of both Rangers and Celtic, the following question must be asked – despite having committed only 5 fouls more than their great rivals, why have Rangers received almost twice the amount of yellow cards as Celtic? Indeed, this is not exclusively an argument between Rangers and Celtic, with many clubs receiving yellow cards after an average of 5 fouls. Nearly double the frequency with which referees are taking action against the Parkhead side.
The record of Celtic this season is an obvious outlier in the league data, whereby 66 players have been booked whilst playing Celtic this season, though only 29 Celtic players have been booked to date. The data suggests a variant of success from the Celtic campaign against officials last season, where there is a quite clear reluctance to take action against the Parkhead side. Although this data remains incomplete for the season to date, there are obvious questions which must be asked about the impact of Celtic’s vocal pursuit of the SFA and their disciplinary body."

54, you do know it is feasible to commit one serious foul and be booked for it and also to commit several minor fouls without further punishment. What your 'facts' highlight is in fact that celtic players, generally, commit less serious fouls than other teams, therefore celtic players aren't dirty players. Thanks for clearing that up for us all.
