LOL, so what? Cristiano can do that and more. Cristiano is the fastest player to reach a 100 La Liga goals. How long did it take Fatty? The Real Ronaldo is the current no.7 of Real Madrid and is scoring goals for fun mate. The future is bright, the future is light.

Saint,
..............
There is more protection for the game nowadays, but players such as the real Ronaldo, Henry, Figo, Maradona, and Zidane played with less protection, plus La Liga is now awful apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid. That is why we are seeing everyweek both teams smashing six goals past teams.

Glad you mentioned Figo, everyone seems to forget how good he was. Along with Zidane the best 2 footed player I've ever seen.

Plus he had wicked hair!

I really hate how people overlook Cristiano's achievements. He has singlehandedly dragged this poor Real team to the top of La Liga. It brings back fond memories of Maradona '86.

Slightly more Maths and Physics, but I like it

They skimmed over the most important factor of all though... "an incompetent keeper"

They are not a poor team by any stretch of imagination.

Nah, the keeper's not at fault - no way to expect that shot - he only takes one step towrds where the cross should be going and bam, too late!

Ronaldo: 49 goals, 10 Assists.

Other players: Who cares.

I dunno... Yes you can't blame him for stepping away, and of course the power and curl is immense... but he's still close enough to get to it, and that flap he takes at it look very Almunia-like to me.

Ronaldo has dragged one of the poorest Real Madrid teams in living memory from god knows where they finished in the league last season to the top. Single handedly.

I'd like to see Fat Ronaldo win something as prestigious as THAT BOY Ronaldo has won.

Ronaldo. Why were you having an argument about who was better? There's no argument. R9 > CR7.

People forget that in the 90's the opposition was better than a lot of what Messi and Ronaldo are facing now. That was in part due to the spread of quality throughout Europe, rather than now where they all end up at the same teams.

Also, he played against defenders in Serie A. Serie A defences in the 90's were far superior to any defences about at the moment.

Darren - this is no place, or indeed time, for well reasoned argument backed up with facts.
