How will they get a game when there is no european football?
There's always the carling cup and the 2 derbys!!!!
Pacheco - Not good enough. Better off moving to Spain in poss.p/ex for Juan Mata.
Shelvey - Mid table Premiership side at best - would probably play for the likes of (no offence) - WBA, Wigan & Wolves etc.
Robinson - I'm sure he'll do well for the club, promising.
Flanagan - Another good prospect, again very promising.
Kelly - Starting on the bench - a definite. Will break into the side easily.
Spearing - Squad player at best, will hardly set the world on fire but reliable, may move for more game time.
Henderson - Great propspect, just as long as the hefty price tag doesn't get to him.
Wilson - A future CB with Kelly but wil he stay long enough to acheive that, too many CB's ahead of him at mo.
Insua - Good back-up LB, not better than that, better off moving with Pacheco!
Ayala - Too far down the pecking order to get any real game time, will do well just to make the bench.
Sterling, Morgan, Suso and Coady - Still very early days but all 4 very promising. I'd like to see 1or 2 of them being given 20 mins in a Carling Cup game.
This rating of the players is based on our squad now, let alone with the prospect of more coming in, thus only pushing the above players further down the queue ! ! !
Agreed with most points, but I do not think we should sell Ayala he had a few games under Rafa 2 seasons ago and dare I say it? He reminded me of hyppia, he was composed, strong in the air, read the game well.
Pacheco - Not really been given that chance he needs to prove himself. Very highly rated in Spain therefore needs to be given a chance and if he does not make the cut sold back to Spain.
Shelvey - He has something but it is still very raw like Wilshire before he went to Bolton on loan. I would like him to also co on loan to another Prem club for the season.
Robinson - Best LB I have seen for the club since Staunton. We do however need a 28yr old ish LB for the first team to help him develop over the next couple of years. Throwing him in as first choice would be dangerous.
Flanagan - Back up RB for Johnson is sorted with him and Kelly.
Kelly - Should replace Skrtel next to Carra this season when Agger is injured and then start to take over from Carra next season and the season after.
Spearing - Liverpool in his blood, great squad player and great against the physical teams.
Henderson - Looked fantastic in the few Sunderland games i saw over the last 2 years. Don't expect too much this season but next he will be a winner.
Wilson - Not convinced on Danny but then he has played most of his games at LB. He should be loaned out to a Prem club for the season to see how he gets on (not back to Rangers as the SPL is no place to judge a player)
Insua - Did we give him a new contract as i am pretty sure it expired at the end of the season? If it did let him go if not then sell him as we have Robinson and Smith coming through.
Ayala - Will not get above the likes of Kelly, Wisdom and Coady and should be sold.
Sterling, Morgan, Suso and Coady - All should be promoted to the 1st team squad as the u18s are pointless for them. Reserve team football in the weeks that they are not in the match squad/get some game time. Out of all of them I think Morgan can make the biggest impact this season.
I think you're being harsh on Shelvey - I wasn't a fan of his but after having watched him with the reserves he's obviously a class above the rest of them.
Definately send him on loan and see what he can do in the prem with a run of games.
morgan looked like an adult playing with kids the other night (if u know what i mean lol), he looked very athletic and showed a lot of composure when he came on the other night
