Sorry, gonna have to make my own option up here.
3* Got no choice
I have edited my thread for yours truly sheriff
For me, I would love our Billy back
Sorry
definitely he's done a good job so far (with a little blip in the middle)
I just hope he keeps playing the football we are playing now and not cotterball
Obviously it depends on owners and money but I'd prefer it if he was sacked in the summer. But most of you knew that anyway
It was a fairly massive blip hoons
To be fair, he seems to be getting his act together now, and has certainly improved in my book to what I thought of him 2 months ago.
However I just cannot see him being the man to lead us back into the PL!
IMO I would keep him if you said to me that we could sack him but then we could get a random manager in i.e we don't know who the new person would be!
However with new owners and you went to me ok we will sack Cotterill and get Billy back then there would be no decision, thanks Cotterill but Billy is just a better manager, and with backing he would be the person to get us back into the PL and I think if you were given that choice, I think a majority of the fans would do the same!
It was a fairly massive blip hoons
_______
One of the worst runs in our history is hardly a blip
He would not be my choice for manager, but he deserves credit for turning us around, and whether you agree or not, it's down to management skills. The loan signings have been very effective, he's brought out the best in McCleary, and maybe now Majewski too, and a couple more wins will guarantee Champ football next season. If he's replaced in the Summer, then he'll at least know that he'll get another job thanks to his efforts this season.
did my sarcasm not work on you sutton?

no sarcasms the lowest form of wit. I'm operating on higher intellectual level.
1* This current run of form is all down to o'driscoll, but cotterill will get all the praise as No 2's never do. The man for me has to go.

I didn't realise we were being graded. I thought it was just a bit of banter on a football forum. I'll try harder in the future and not post after a few Saturday night beers
Get a grip of what Hoons? Having an opinion perhaps. Ooh I am very sorry for that master!!
really don't understand how people can give cotterill so much stick. i agree it took him too long to found out what his best team is. but in fairness to him, he hasn't had the opportunity to play his best team because they've all been injured. the first time we've had a few options in defence all season we've been showing play-off form. back him

What he said.
hoons your an idiot
You find me proof that O'Driscoll is the reason we are playing well now, I'll happily accept it.
It is such a naive thing to say, and comes across as completely clutching at straws. It's laughable really, when we lose it's SCs fault, and when we win its down to SOD ... brilliant logic
It's like the whole MArthur thing .. i've still not heard of 3 set in concrete arguments why he is so bad at his job, and for NFFC.
Cotterill is doing well for us. We had a very poor period when he half a squad to choose from who were getting over the shambles McLaren left us in (including only 2 fit defenders!!) - but since he has played his cards (which included bringing his mate SOD to the club, several very good loanees, and getting the best out of players like Reid and McLeary), we have been playing well and with confidence.
So I reiterate, get a grip
Hoons, you get me some proof that the form is down to SC, that the loanees brought in are down to SC. No you probably can't just as I can't that it is down to SOD, it's called having an opinion and I don't appreciate being shot down like a petulant child especially from a fellow red.
Unbelievable! He's the manager, of course he got the loanees in, just like he got SOD in. Listen to him in interviews, he always talks about why 'he' wanted to get so and so in, of course it was him.
And yeah, sorry for aiming at you, I get mightily p'd off with the Cotterill bashers at times .. especially when it is quite clear he is doing well for NFFC now. My apologies.
the way i see it weve only been playing well since SOD`s arrival and the arrival of the loanees also dexs return from injury. look at their previous managerial records and style of football.
SOD likes to play nice passing football whereas SC is known as a long ball merchant.
the proof is in the pudding were playing football again and not the hoof ball weve witnessed before SOD`s arrival.
one thing i will say is well done to SC for getting SOD on board and the loan signings. this partnership could turn out to be a sucessfull one but SC working alone is well out of his depth
Believable for me, because I have heard his interviews this season and heard some of the drivel and sh*te that has come from him, I'm sorry but the man just doesn't instill me with any confidence. Over time he MAY make me eat my words and possibly have his name on the back of my next new garibaldi until then it's a 1* from me.
If you call having this squad 6 points off the bottom 3 doing well, then I suppose he is. I don't.
Cotterill as spent years being a rubbish manager before we gave him a job. I'm not sure why some just ignore that.
It's like the whole MArthur thing .. i've still not heard of 3 set in concrete arguments why he is so bad at his job.

your crackers
It gets on my nerves when people seem to feel If we play badly and lose it's SC's fault if we play well and win it's down to SOD. One of the problems SC had was joining a club with someone else's backroom staff, that cannot have been easy for anyone, SM will have brought staff in to support and coach his Dutch style 4-3-3 zonal marking system (which none of the players really took to). You have to credit SM and/or FC for bringing SOD on board.
All managers want their own backroom staff and in particular assistant manager. Even the great man himself was not the same without Peter Taylor: with Taylor at Forest and Derby 2 league titles, 2 European Cups 3 League cup finals (2 won) and a European Super Cup. Without Taylor 3 League Cup finals (2 won), Simod Cup, ZDS Cup and 1 FA Cup final.
I personally don't care if our upturn in form is mainly down to SC or SOD, if they work well as a partnership that's fine by me.
You dont play hoof ball eh.
Well WTF was that on display when we demolished you at Pride Park.
