The owners must feel like they've been completely conned.
Better off spending 100 million on a bag of prawn crackers. Atleast they'd serve a purpose and fill a hole in the middle.

Those funds still bought ''players'' that mascarade as the Fragal Rock football team.
100 million or 20, none of them are worth that money.

SHUT UP!!!
We paid checks for over ONE HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS!! I don't care where the money was raised, we only lost one first teamer in summer and gained 7 players.
Taken from Monday's Guardian:
"If Liverpool finish sixth, it will equal or better the best ever Premier League finishing position for Stewart Downing, Charlie Adam, José Enrique, Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson."

It's no different than if you bought a TV on eBay for 200 pounds, but sold a few items for 50 pounds...you have technically only spent 150 pounds.

Great example.
You buy this £200 TV and it doesn't work, will you think, "oh well I only spent £150 net on it?"
Of course you bloody wouldn't.

You had 115m to spend
Now you don't have 115m to spend
It's that simple
Lol if u did not spend any money it would be 100 million in ur pockets. This is the only logic that makes sense here. This is an indictement on how the money was spent, not a net spend argument.
Also to spend more money that the yr before and look like this considering the "dead weight" that was supposed to be holding u back were replaced by young and expensive talent, you have literally no escuse for this run of form.
But i guess when u sell a player, the benefits are meant to be wasted since it was given to u for a player

There's no coincidence everybody but deluded Liverpool fans can see how poor Kenny has been.

You agree that the money could have been far far better spent right?

While you may have gained £50m from the Torres transfer, you spent it poorly. Also look at the wages.
Out - Torres, roughly 100k.
In - Adam (70k)
- Downing (70k)
- Carrol (70k)
- Henderson (40k)
- Bellamy (60k)
- Enrique (60-70k)
And they'll probably all be on long term contracts. I can promise you, as an Arsenal fan I sympathise with you guys, we gave rubbish players big contracts too and now we can't effing give them away...
I have been telling you lot this for months...
You sold a player who wasn't doing it for you lot anymore, somhow got 50m for him, and wasted over 100m on average footballers.
Seems people are starting to realise he brought poorly.
Especially when we can get the likes of Higuain, Benzema and other world class strikers for nearly a similar amount. Just saying..
..................
those 2 players are probably valued at £35M each...but if they were up for sale would they leave madrid to join lpool at the present time ??
no chance.
These sorts of players are out of lpool's reach at present, even if they have the ££ avaliable to potentially buy them
Pekster
What does that tell you? £35m buys a top drawer striker, not somebody like Carroll.
Spending 75 million on Carroll, Henderson and Downing is inexcusable.
I wouldn´t have paid 20 million for that lot let alone 75 million.
