How about Keane + £12 for Cahill?
doubt he will come...
BUT!
YES...i think coyle would work wonders with him, he needs somone to belive in him and give him his confidence back.
he obviously has the ability - we have all seen it in the past, hes just hit a brick wall i think, coyle will show him he belives in him and give him a chance. i think it would be a good move personaly...
I'm not sure about Keane, a few years ago then obviously yes, and he has been one of the more prolific premier league strikers over the last 8 years or so. However, in saying that he doesn't seem to be the player he used to be and couldn't even shine in a poor West Ham team so I'm not sure if he is the man to solve our striker problems. Then again if Coyle can get him his confidence back then he will score goals and I think he is still capable of between 11 - 15 goals a season if he can recapture his form. It's a big risk but you don't improve by not taking risks, if the wages aren't too high I say go for it.
In fact, on reflection, I'd rather have Robbie Savage.
Vera,
I dont think his ego is a problem.
He's a very passionate & professional person - and works very hard.
Whether he's good enough, is another question - but you cannot question his attitude or ego when it comes to playing football.
i think he falls into the same class as davies, once great, but gettin on abit and losing his pace, thats just my opinion but i dont watch him aside from motd.... hed add to our options at the moment, but id rather we got someone younger and quicker.
id personally love to see rodrigo up front

So pretty much a straight swap? No thanks!
how about leaving well alone
Wouldn't touch him with a 12 foot long pole with a condom on it. Past it.
