Buxton missed a large chunk through injury though & although fairly consistent I'd find it hard to pick him ahead of others.

Madine may have the same problem in that he missed a chunk but he'll end up with 20+ goals so will be hard to ignore!

Got to be between Madine/Reda/Batth/Semedo for me!

Yes it has to be Batth for me, though if Marshall was still with us no doubt it would be him.

I also thought Reda might be a good shout. The way he has performed at LB has been brilliant.

It would be good if Madine got it. Cant remember the last time a Wednesday striker actually deserved an award! In fact, its nice that there is actually a number of possible candidates. Usually the only half decent shout is the poor unfortunate goalkeeper!

We were so bad the other season that JOC won it cos he happened to run around a bit!

Thats what I mean. Usually Im looking at the nominees scratching my head wondering who I can give my vote to out of pity!

JOC.

Its a no brainer.

I think Bywater has to be in with a shout.

If Madine can get to 20 goals, and he looks like he will, then he has to be favorite, after all everyone focuses on the goal scorers!!

For me though, I would give it to Reda or Semedo. Reda not only performs well at LB but he scores goals as well and he seems to have a positive effect on the team as a whole.

Semedo has been steady all season, but due to his position and style of play he rarely does anything spectacular, so the good things he does in virtually every game go relatively unnoticed.

Well i've played 'em all, the cricket and soccer,
I've driven a Bentley and flown in a Fokker,
I've swam with the dolphins in exotic resorts,
But i've never seen a package like the one in Antonio's shorts.

Bit like Makalele really, the Libero Grande role is unspectacular but very important, his role is to sit and protect for back four, get past him at your peril. So for me its him who gets my vote but its great to actually have a choice of maybe 5-6 players for once, maybe more!!

If they go unnoticed then people aren't paying attention, surely!

Monster, you have just described the average football fan with the exception of the obligatory blue tinted glasses as an accessory!!

For injury free consistency either Batth or Semedo

The one that scores the goal that seals promotion for us!

Batth can't win it, he's a pig. So I'll go for Semedo.

I agree with Rhyming, it's Antonio's "package" that tilts the balance.

Having just viewed that heinous image of Batth, and along with that cleared my history page, that man should do the honourable thing and retire from football as he is tainted with the mark of Satan.

At the end of the season though obviously.

Up the owls!!!!
