But we have blooded in Welbeck, Jones, Clevs, De Gae and a few others into CL footy. I'm not that knowledgeable about Madrid, but I guess Mourinho isn't bringing much quality through the ranks (has he ever?)

I'm not saying SAF got it right.... He didn't, he got it wrong... but at least it is another step for our young team.

Yet he's won it twice and been to 4 finals......its cup football and sometimes it happens. We all heard this in 06 then look what happened over the next 5 seasons??

Really should have gone for Varane rather then Jones

if fergie can mastermind a victory against the mighty and famous QPR sunday, he will indeed become the greatest manager ever.

this is a fact.

I reckon barcelona will beat chelsea by 5 goals on aggregate. This chelsea team let you creat chances for fun.

I made a similar comment.

Barcelona always put out their strongest team also. How often is Messi ever subbed? Even when they're 6-7 or 8 up.

Tell you what, Varane looks class.

I rmemeber at the start of the season people were syaing Jones was England captain material and Varane couldnt get a game at real how muchbetter Jones was than Varane....

5months later, Jones is now 5th choice CB at the club, putting in disappointing performances in CM whereas Varane is putting in great performances for Real over in Spain

probably the same k-nobs that were slating evans and wanting rid.... grass is always greener for some folk. We have amazing young CB options....

Varane is class. Will be a top class centre back one day. IMO Jones has about as much potential as Varane at centre back, he just needs to learn his tactical awareness, which will come with time in the presence of Rio, Vidic, Evans and the United staff.

Despite Varane's massive potential, I'm not losing any sleep over us not getting him because we have three young (well, Evans is relatively young for a CB) who will probably be very very good.

and they will not be engineering any moves to their "dream club" because they are already here.

More to a UTD player than just skill.
