Bubbles.... its mayhem when Chelsea play in our house, as she loves to watch tottenham but i take no interst unless Chelsea are losing

I want Arsenal , Chelsea and Westham to lose every game they play.
====================================

What if they play each other?

If Liverpool hadn't of cheated Arsenal in the 2008 QF there would have been the distinct possibility in fact ineitability that Arsenal would have met Chelsea in the SF

I wish Arsenal and Chelsea met in the CL Final one day, I'd love to see Spurs fans reactions.

To be fair we all had bet on United to win and they were pretty much the only ones that let us down on our slips

English clubs should not want each other to win and it's a simple as that, I wouldn't have it any other way

That said I tend to root for English clubs in Europa

Good haircut

I doubt many people support English teams in Europe, club rivalry is just too strong

then i was on the edge of my seat cheeringthem on.. much to the dismay and anger of the other half

glad they went through, without that CL semi Chelsea would have went all out against us in the FA Cup.
they'll still give it a good go but will have an eye on the CL now

War in your house for the FA Semi

I notice that this question only ever seems to come up when Chelsea play.

Arsenal have fielded a team with no British players on many occasions in the Champions League and nobody ever battered an eyelid.

Chelsea have always had at least a few English players and the current Chelsea side has at least 3 or 4 regular English players in the likes of Terry, Lampard, Cole and Sturridge.

Bubbles. i would go on holiday and not even wtach the game but guess i would want Chelsea to win

For me it depends if you go to or have been to games

I think there's much more to it than that. For the record, I'm Spanish and despite being a Madrid fan I support ALL Spanish teams in Europe, even Barça.

I've never been a season ticket holder, but went to see us play countless times in the 20+ years I lived in Madrid - but then again, I also got invited to see Atlético loads of times, so perhaps seeing things from both sides of the fence helps.

I think a lot of it in my case has to do with being born and brought up as a kid in England, as everyone there considered me to be Spanish. I reckon that might have reinforced my sense of "Spanishness".

It's weird though, rationally speaking I have a heavy dislike of all forms of nationalism, but when it comes to sport I instinctively get behind the Spaniards.

The majority of the English public dislike Cole, Lampard and Terry. I know many people (myself included) who will find it alot easier to get behind the national team when they are not in it.

Hi mate..

I have a very good friend who lives in madrid and goes to all their games.. he hates the fact i like Barca

He hates Barcelona and Valencia and its seems to be not just about football over there ?

But agree they do support other spanish teams in europe ..He supports tottenham over here and have taken him to a few games

That reminds me of last year when I was at my local pub in Birmingham in a pub full of Arsenal fans. I celebrated when Barca scored and got funny looks

I was one of only 4 or 5 Chelsea fans in a pub full of 50 United "fans" when they beat us 2-1, hate being in pubs outside of where I live, not used to Chelsea being in the minority

With all due respect here in England and especially London the rivalry is far stronger and more tribal.

I was in Spain when they won the Euro's and Barca is like my adopted home, despite the ethnic and political divisions in Spain it was extremely United for the national team, in Europe you don't get that.

Hell would freeze over before a Spurs fan applauds Campbell in an England shirt or a West Ham fan applauds Lampard or Arsenal fan applauds Cole. It is so tribal here that club football is all that matters.

I still maintain that you cannot fully support a Premier League club and the national team, it's impossible

What's Lampard ever done? I get why people don't like Cole and Terry because of the media crusades against them but Lampard ??
